There’s a lot going on at Disney World right now!
We’ve seen some testing over at the new TRON ride in Magic Kingdom, the PeopleMover got a new sign, and we’ve even gotten 2023 booking information for the Star Wars Hotel. We head to the Disney World parks almost every day so we can bring you the latest updates, so today, we’re heading to EPCOT to check out what’s new!
EPCOT Construction Updates
We’ll start off with some construction updates. First off, construction is continuing over at Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion. When we spoke to a Cast Member a few weeks ago, they told us that the store was getting a bit of remodeling done.
We also hopped on the Monorail to take a look at Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana construction! Things seem to be progressing well, and the rocks are starting to be painted! Now instead of just looking gray, some of them have been painted tan and brown.
Disney still has not provided an opening timeline for this walk-through attraction yet.

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Creations Shop
At Creations Shop, we spotted these Donald and Daisy Earrings. They are gold earrings with Donald and Daisy charms. They are $16.99.
You can also get some new magnets! There’s this Mickey Mouse Happy Magnet for $14.99…
…and this Ratatouille magnet for $14.99.
We also saw some new phone cases. The first one is a Winnie the Pooh phone case that has pictures of Pooh, flowers, and honey pots on it. It is $34.99.
There was also this Ratatouille phone case that has the Eiffel Tower, Remy, and more designs inspired by the movie. This phone case is $29.99.
And finally, from Creations, we saw this Mickey and Minnie Sweatshirt.
This sweatshirt has Mickey and Minnie in an older-looking animation style, and on the back, it says “Walt Disney’s Mickey & Minnie.”
We’ve seen this sweatshirt at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well, and it is available for $64.99.
Northwest Mercantile
At Northwest Mercantile, which is the gift shop at the Canada pavilion, we saw this Canada mug.
It says “Canada” and has an image of a forest on it. It is $19.99.
And that’s what’s new at EPCOT! If you’re heading to EPCOT soon, there’s a lot going on. The Food and Wine Festival is going strong, with all of the booths now open. Plus, with Halloween just around the corner, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit (a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt around the park) will begin next month. And, once fall winds down, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be kicking off!

Alice says
Mitsukoshi has been under construction for a long time! At one point they didn’t have Mochi on the shelves! I had a freak out moment when the shelves were bare of Mochi! It will be great once all the reorganization is done!
