Laser Projection Could Make Your Experience Better at Disney Springs Movie Theater

It may not be a theme park, but you could spend HOURS exploring Disney Springs!

With all the shopping options, plus some of the best restaurants in Disney World, there’s a lot to do. You could go bowling, take a ride on a hot air balloon, watch a Cirque du Soleil show, or even go to the movies. And if you’re interested in stopping by the AMC Theatres there, then you should know that they have a NEW feature!

It was announced earlier this year that AMC Theatres would be partnering with Cinionic to launch Laser at AMC, a large-scale update to 3500 theaters around the country. This update introduces cutting-edge laser projectors that offer “a more environmentally friendly way to present movies with less waste, including the elimination of replacing xenon bulbs, and a significant reduction in energy usage.”

According to Cinionic and AMC, “The Laser at AMC experience delivered by laser projection from Cinionic includes improved picture contrast compared to digital projectors, more vivid color, and maximum picture brightness, with guaranteed light levels that exceeds most 2D digital projection.”

These updates are expected to be complete by 2026, but you can already test out the new cinema experience at AMC in Disney Springs! The theater website has been updated to note the following: “Our state-of-the-art picture quality just got better! Now showing even more brilliant brightness, dynamic detail and crystal-clear contrast with Laser at AMC.”

Now, when you pull up showtimes on the AMC website, you’ll be able to see which theaters offer Laser at AMC for your viewing experience. You can also view select films in Dolby Cinema or in RealD 3D.

If you have an AMC located near you, be on the lookout for this possible change in the future, especially if you’re a film aficionado. There are a lot of movies to check out in the coming months, including returning hits like Avatar and Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as new additions like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
