Halloween is around the corner, but it’s time to celebrate the spooky holiday now!
If you’re headed to Disneyland, there are plenty of ways to celebrate. Not only can you attend Oogie Boogie Bash in Disney California Adventure (if you snagged a ticket before it sold out), but there’s an interactive scavenger hunt, over 50 exclusive Halloween treats to try, and décor to explore around the resort. It’s now time to start trying those Halloween treats, so we’re headed to Disney California Adventure to try some new treats!
If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, head to Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream! There you will find some new treats for the Halloween season, so let’s check them out! First up, you can grab the Cereal Sundae. This is made with vanilla and strawberry ice cream, berry compote, mixed cereal, and whipped cream served in a waffle cup and topped with fruity cereal.
Yeah, so…this thing isn’t as vibrant and exciting as we had expected. The cereal part of the sundae is basically just a ring of fruity pebbles by the cone. This one fell flat for us, to be honest. But maybe it’s just the sundae we received — your own might be the sundae of your dreams! If you want to give it a try, you can grab it for $8.49.
For adults 21 and over, there’s a new boozy treat to try! Introducing the Pumpkin Pie Hard Float. The float is made with hard pumpkin chai cider, vanilla ice cream, and a spiced pie crust cookie.
To be completely transparent: we went in with low expectations. But wow, were we wrong! This drink was smooth and balanced, with a great punch of spice. The ice cream added sweetness, with some fall vibes — courtesy of the vanilla. The pumpkin pie crust cookie was just a plain puff pastry cut in a pumpkin shape. But overall, this drink is a winner!
If you want to try the hard float, it’ll cost you $15.50. Both of these treats are available through November 10th.
You can also find a new Chocolate Brownie Sundae and a new Hard Apple Float if you aren’t a huge pumpkin fan! If you want to see the full list of Halloween treats you can try at Disneyland, click here.
We’ll be at the first night of Oogie Boogie Bash on September 6th, so be sure to check back with us then for all of the coverage from the Halloween event! In the meantime, you can check out our complete guide to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World.
We’ll continue trying Halloween treats around Disneyland, so stay tuned for more reviews!
