It’s spooky season in Disney World, and we are HERE for it. We’re loving the decorations, the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and all the fun merchandise.
Even better, though, is all the NEW FOOD that’s come out recently. We love the flavors of Halloween and fall, and one bakery at Disney World just threw them all into one dessert.
Here it is — the Pumpkin Apple Tart at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs for $8. It’s made with Pumpkin-spiced Mousse, Port Wine-poached Apple, and Hazelnut Crunch. Yep, that’s a lot of fall in one dessert!
Like many of Amorette’s pastries, the Pumpkin Apple Tart is very Instagrammable. However, there is a lot — TOO much — going on with this baby. The Pumpkin Mousse is nice and has a subtle pumpkin flavor with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. The outside is that gelatinous stuff, which tastes fine and works with the mousse’s texture.
However, once you’re grooving with that pumpkin flavor, the apples in the center just kinda send your tastebuds into shock because it’s a very strong and tart flavor. It doesn’t really work great with that smooth, subtle pumpkin.
The hazelnut chocolate crunch on the bottom is one more layer that we don’t think was really necessary. It also has a strong, rich flavor and a nice crunch by itself, but it doesn’t work with the pumpkin and apple.
Just having 2 of these flavors might have been delicious, but having all 3 was a bit overwhelming. Not ALL fall flavors work well together.
The Pumpkin-Apple Tart from Amorette’s Patisserie is BEAUTIFUL 😍,but do we expect anything less at this point? Bonus – it’s a boozy find with port wine-poached apple, pumpkin mousse, and hazelnut for $8! 🎃 pic.twitter.com/oF7Gs7wSlG

We wish we could’ve just had that pumpkin mousse because that was quite delicious. If you want a better Halloween snack, check out the Ganachery for the Minnie Ghost Pinata, which was fun (if expensive), especially if you love chocolate. For an even more delicious snack, just head on over to Gideon’s Bakehouse and grab that Peanut Butter Cold Brew Cookie.
If you love donuts, be sure to stop by Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew for some wonderfully delicious over-the-top donuts — if you’re still feeling peckish, there’s always the Donut Grilled Cheese to try! You can now skip the line at this donut shop by ordering ahead — find out how that works here.

If you put everything in it, everyone can find something they don’t like!
For example, I never eat/drink anything involving alcohol, so the port wine kills it for me.
