If you haven’t been to Disney World in a few days, odds are good it’s a little different now than you remember it! Changes are happening all the time, be it new merchandise, refurbishments, or seasonal decorations.
Don’t worry — we’re here to keep you updated on all the changes. Let’s visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios today to see what’s new in this park.
We’ll start out with some new souvenirs around the park.
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates
Mickey’s of Hollywood
At Mickey’s of Hollywood, we found a gray tank top that has a retro Walt Disney World logo repeated on it 3 times.
This top costs $29.99.
Keystone Clothiers
Keystone Clothiers had a LOT of new Star Wars merchandise. There was a voice-changing Darth Vader mask available for $34.99.
There’s also an R2-W50 interactive droid that is designed with colors from Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. The droid costs $114.99.
Several new Star Wars clothes have arrived as well, including a “Rebel” long-sleeve t-shirt for $49.99…
…a hoodie with plaid accents for $49.99…
…a 2-toned t-shirt for $29.99…
…and “SW” sweatpants for $49.99.
Stay tuned, because we found even MORE new Star Wars merch at another gift shop in this park!
Celebrity 5 & 10
At this shop, there was a Toy Story Pizza Planet cup with a lid and straw. It had pictures of the aliens from the movie on pizza and said, “Ooooohhh.”
You can get it for $19.99.
Jessie’s Trading Post
Over at Jessie’s Trading Post (the new gift shop at the end of the Toy Story Mania ride), you can find a Buzz Lightyear costume, just in time for the Halloween season!
This costume costs $59.99.
Tatooine Traders
Now it’s back to the Star Wars merchandise! This shop had a sleeveless quarter-zip sweater with embroidered pictures of some characters from the movie for $49.99.
There was a cream-colored cardigan sweater for $64.99 that also had some Star Wars characters embroidered on it.
A pink t-shirt had “May the Force Be With You” embroidered in gold around the neck, and it cost $36.99.
And there were matching pink sweatpants for $54.99.
We found a long-sleeve t-shirt with embroidered Star Wars characters for $39.99…
…and a rope belt with little metal images of characters as well for $24.99.
That’s all the new merchandise in Hollywood Studios!
Hollywood Studios Crowds Update
We expected crowds to pick up in the parks for Labor Day weekend, but surprisingly the parks felt pretty empty!
When we visited, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance only had a 50-minute wait (which is very low for this attraction in the afternoon)…
…Tower of Terror was at 60 minutes…
…and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had a 45-minute wait.
The wait times aren’t super low, but for those popular rides in the mid-afternoon, we were pretty shocked.
