We’re coming at you from the first Oogie Boogie Bash of the season!
That’s right, Oogie Boogie has officially taken over Disney California Adventure (for select nights this Halloween season, that is) and there are tons of tricks and treats to look forward to. But we’re going to ignore the villains, entertainment, and snacks for just one second (we promise we’ll jump right back to those in a moment). There are some amazing guest costumes that you need to see!
Oogie Boogie Bash guests don’t play when it comes to costumes, y’all! You have to check out some of the creative costumes we’ve spotted.
We have to start off with Oogie Boogie, obvi. The burlap dress, bats, green accents, green wig, and hat — we’re obsessed.
Take a look at this Loki variant! The Loki variant had green hair, a velvet cape, sunglasses, and Loki’s headpiece. *Chef’s kiss* This outfit was perfection!
And staying with the Marvel theme, check out this Scarlett Witch! How good is this costume?! Just make sure you keep the Darkhold away from this partygoer.
And you guys — the Spider-Man pointing meme? 10/10 — perfect execution.
Pirates of the Caribbean called, they want their costumes back. But really — these costumes are all-out! (Bonus points for wearing the glued-on beard in this California heat — we appreciate the dedication.)
And fans of the Haunted Mansion will enjoy the Attic Bride and Groom costumes we saw! The bride’s dress, veil, and bouquet were glowing!
This family took on 101 Dalmatians! This is one of the cutest family costumes we’ve seen…it’s such a good idea!
And, speaking of family costumes, check out this family dressed up as characters from The Little Mermaid! They were Prince Eric, Ursula, Sebastian, and Ariel. (Ariel was sleeping when we took a pic…it’s tiring being out where the people are.)
And look at this Candy Corn and Little Red Riding Hood! The Candy Corn outfit reminds us of a certain Donald Duck Halloween Sipper we’re not-so-patiently waiting for.
And what would a party be without joy? Of course, we’re talking about Joy from Inside Out. This party guest nailed the costume!
We also found Princess Tiana and Dr. Facilier! This is a fun matching costume that’s perfect for the party, as Dr. Facilier has a treat trail and a float in the party’s Frightfully Fun Parade.
And those are just some of the fun costumes we’ve seen at the party so far! For more Oogie Boogie Bash fun, check out the unique way you can meet the Sanderson sisters. Or take a look at the first Oogie Boogie Bash of the season!

Ken says
a few years back I had the good fortune to sit at the tunnel entrance to the MK at WDW for a Mickey’s Very Scary party and was blown away at the costumed guests entering the park for the evening. The best seat in the house for all of the fun. (I was a lot less expensive to get in then). You could go in on a day pass and then stay for the park to reopen for the party guests. Great fun
