Disney World can see some pretty severe weather.
It comes with being located in Central Florida, but we regularly see storms or rain pop up, along with some serious heat. And, right now, a big storm is impacting Disney World. Here’s what you need to know.
A Flood Advisory has been issued for Orange, Seminole, and Volusia counties in Florida due to storms, according to WKMG. As of this writing, it will last until 6:30PM. Walt Disney World is mostly located in Orange County.

Also issued was a special weather statement about a strong thunderstorm impacting these counties through 3:30PM. At 3:04PM, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Four Corners, or near Bay Lake. The storm is nearly stationary and has wind gusts up to 50 miles-per-hour.
The statement specifically said that location impacted include Bay Lake, Celebration, Four Corners, Champions Gate, and Animal Kingdom.
A Ground Stop has also been issued for Orlando International Airport due to the storms, according to @EricBurris from WESH on Twitter.

If you’re in the parks right now, it’s important to seek shelter if you need to and listen to the directions of Cast Members. Flooding CAN happen inside the parks, and we have seen it before. There is also frequent lightning happening with this storm.
