Want to get a chance to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance with fewer crowds? Or hoping to hop on Slinky Dog Dash without as many people around? Your chance is coming up!
Those staying at Disney World Deluxe Hotels or Deluxe Villas can take advantage of the special Extended Evening Hours perk in Disney World, which gives them extra time in select parks on certain evenings. This perk is usually available at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, though it was offered just ONCE at Hollywood Studios. Well, if you’ve been hoping that it would be offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios again…your wish has come true!
Disney has announced that Extended Evening Hours will be coming BACK to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 15th and 22nd, 2022! Extended Evening Hours on those nights will be from 9PM to 11PM.
In celebration of the “most magical season of the year” Disney is bringing back this perk to Hollywood Studios so you can enjoy holiday decor, rides, and more.
Keep in mind that the Extended Evening Hours perk is only available to guests staying at Deluxe Disney World Hotels or Deluxe Villas (or select other qualifying hotels). The list below shows ALL of the hotels that qualify for this special benefit.
During Extended Evening Hours, qualifying guests can spend some extra time in the designated parks on the specified dates. Only certain rides are open during this time, so just keep that in mind.
The list below shows all of the rides that will be open at Hollywood Studios during these special Extended Evening Hours dates. Some really popular rides are available during this time, including Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Visiting the park during Extended Evening Hours can be a great way of hopping on these popular rides with more minimal waits since only a select group is allowed to stay late in the parks on those nights.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t the only park that’ll have Extended Evening Hours in December though. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will also offer Extended Evening Hours on select nights — you can see that schedule below or click here to see our post where we continuously update the Extended Evening Hours dates that are available! Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will also be part of the Extended Evening Hours perk on various dates from September through November, so you can check those out and keep them in mind when planning future trips.
Don’t qualify for Extended Evening Hours? Remember that everyone staying at ALL Disney World hotels and select other qualifying hotels can take advantage of the Early Theme Park Entry perk, which lets guests enter the park of their choice 30 minutes early every single day (a park pass and valid ticket are required).
Since the Extended Evening Hours perk is not often offered at Disney’s Hollywood Studios though, we’d say this particular perk could be one you’ll really want to take advantage of!
We’ll continue to look for updates on the Extended Evening Hours perk and let you know what we see.

It really unfair how they work these extra hours. Maybe the should do resorts from each their together. Like boardwalk , port orleans and music. And have them go like. I feel that if you are not paying top dollar that you are worth nothing.

Here we go again……
Perks for those who can afford the top, and the hell with everyone else who stays on property.
THE MONEY PIT STRIKES AGAIN!

I’ve never stayed at a deluxe resort and probably never will at their current price point and I don’t have a problem with them getting a perk for shelling out the kind of money we’re talking about here. Ironically though it’s so small a perk that it’s kind of irrelevant really, if they really wanted people to upgrade their stay then offer something more to them like free genie+ or more extra evening hours. Guests at universal are at least tempted with the free express pass

We just got back from seven days at WDW. Extended evening hours are NOT, I repeat… NOT worth it! We did them at both EP and MK. What a bust! Seven Dwarfs MINE train was down the whole evening and only two or three quick service in entire park open for a snack or drink. Luckily we had already experienced no food service at EP so put in a mobile order for 10:30 window. Jungle Cruise, People Mover, and some shows are not open. Pickings were very very slim. Epcot was not much better and all food booths and quick service restaurants were closed. They even close off part of the walkway in World Showcase and you have to walk around the Canada side. We will not do extended evening hours again.

Why is Four Seasons off the list now for extra magic hours? Taking a special Holiday trip to treat ourselves and it’s crazy to think for what we are willing to pay it’s not considered deluxe enough for this perk. Guess we will be going out with a bang. Bye Disney. Next year I will be treating my family somewhere else.
