The 2022 D23 Expo was packed with announcements for various Disney parks.
Disney revealed a lot of exciting projects — Tiana-themed additions and park expansions in Disneyland Resort and nighttime shows and possible land reimagining in Disney World. And international parks got a lot of huge announcements too — check them all out here!
Disneyland Paris
A Tangled-themed attraction will be in the new gardens that lead into the upcoming Frozen-themed land over at Disneyland Paris!
And yes, the Frozen-themed land is still on track to be the “next major milestone” for Walt Disney Studios Park.
Frozen will also be a major part of the retheme happening at Disneyland Hotel in Paris.
Rooms will also be inspired by Tangled, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.
Tokyo Disney Resort
In 2024, Tokyo Disneyland’s Space Mountain will “undergo a transformation that will bring a new story and experience to the iconic attraction.” The renovation should be complete by 2027.

We can’t wait to learn more!
Hong Kong Disneyland
The World of Frozen expansion at Hong Kong Disneyland will open in late 2023, making it the first to open out of all three parks getting Frozen-themed lands.
We also got a look at a new Walt Disney and Mickey statue coming to the park.
No exact date has been announced just yet, but we’ve got an opening timeline for the land!
Shanghai Disney Resort
Shanghai will be bringing the story of Zootopia to life! And over at the Zootopia Police Department, Officer Clawhauser will be greeting guests at the new attraction.
And those are all of the new attractions and lands announced for the international parks! For more details on Disney World and Disneyland park announcements, check out the San Fransokyo retheme in Disneyland, or the new nighttime show in EPCOT!
