Ever since Disney announced that Splash Mountain at both Disney World and Disneyland would be replaced by a Princess and the Frog-themed ride, details have been pretty scarce.
We know that the ride will be opening in 2024 and will be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, we also got a look at what Tiana herself will look like during the ride along with some other concept art, and a first look at the ride, but now we have more information about the re-theme and a more specific opening timeline.
During the D23 Expo panel about the future of the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, we got to learn more about this upcoming ride. During the panel, Disney confirmed that several of the actors who voiced characters in The Princess and the Frog movie will be voicing characters in the ride.
Specifically, Bruno Campos will be once again voicing Prince Naveen, Michael Leon Wooley will once again voice Louis, Jenifer Lewis will once again voice Mama Odie, and Anika Noni Rose will be voicing Princess Tiana again.
According to the backstory of the ride, the year is 1927 and Tiana is hosting a party for the people of New Orleans. But she’s missing an ingredient and needs our help to get it!
