So much food, so little time, but we still do our best to TRY every new snack that arrives in Disney World.
We’ve pretty much already had all the 50th anniversary treats, but we’re still making our way through all the Halloween snacks. Now we’ve got even MORE stuff to eat, because September 15th through October 15th is Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month and Disney World is celebrating with — wait for it — EVEN MORE FOOD! So let’s try one of these new treats!
So we’re heading over to Disney Springs to visit the Cilantro Food Truck. Here, we’re ordering up the Arepa Encantada, which is South American gluten-free white corn meal cakes, stuffed with mozzarella cheese and Cilantro’s crema dip. YUM! Sounds good, right? Let’s dig in!
We really loved these warm, cheesy delights! When warm, the cheese is super melty and is definitely the primary flavor, but the cornmeal balances it nicely and adds a bit of saltiness to the snack.
In our opinion, we think this is a perfect snack for anyone who loves cheese or likes savory snacks. If you’re not a cheese fan though, or you don’t like cilantro, you may not enjoy this much. We really didn’t have any complaints about the snack!
If that sounds like something you want to try, be sure to head on over to Disney Springs to try it out for $10 without chorizo and $12 with. We’ll also be trying out several more of the 50 new and returning snacks available in Disney World for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage month, so stay tuned for many more reviews.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for a good table service restaurant in Disney Springs, we would recommend some of our favorites, including Homecomin’ and Wine Bar George. You’ll want to grab a reservation ahead of time because these restaurants are very popular. Also, be sure to swing by Gideon’s Bakehouse for one of their amazing cookies!
