Did you know that you can send mail from INSIDE Disney World?
And no, we don’t just mean at the hotel — we mean from inside the parks! In fact, you may have walked right by one of Disney’s nostalgic mailboxes without realizing that they’re actually functional. Find out where you can mail a letter right from Disney World!
You can mail items like postcards and letters from both Disney Parks and some Disney World hotels! In the theme parks, all you have to do is have a letter or postcard with postage applied, and then you need to find a mailbox.
Luckily for you, mailboxes are located throughout all four Disney World theme parks! In Magic Kingdom, you can typically find mailboxes underneath the Main Street Train Station, on Main Street U.S.A., near City Hall, and by Frontier Trading Post.
You can also send letters to Santa in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe!
In EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can typically find a mailbox near the front entrances, and in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can find mailboxes on Sunset Blvd. and over by the front entrance. This can (and does occasionally) change, however, so you might have to search a bit during your visit.
Some mailboxes include a disclaimer that they’re actually on loan from the United States Postal Service. Mail is collected from each mailbox by Cast Members who turn over the mail to the United States Mails in Orlando, Florida.
So let’s say you find yourself in a park with a postcard you want to mail but you don’t have any stamps? No worries! You can purchase stamps inside Disney World from a variety of locations, including the following:
Magic Kingdom
- Main Street Chamber of Commerce
- Newsstand
EPCOT
- Art of Disney
- Disney Traders
- Heritage Manor
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Celebrity 5 & 10
- Mickey’s of Hollywood
- Movieland Memorabilia
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Garden Gate Gifts
- The Outpost Shop
Disney Springs
- Disney Springs Welcome Center
- Sundries
Transportation & Ticket Center
- Mickey’s Gift Station
If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can typically send mail with postage at the front desk, but packages are a bit different, as you can’t send those from inside Disney World. You can, however, ship pre-packed and pre-labeled packages at the front desk of most Disney World hotels.
