There are many reasons to visit Disney World in the fall — but it might not be as empty as you expect it to be.
The Florida weather may be slightly cooler (by a smidge), the Halloween decorations are out, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (which is totally sold out) all happens in the fall, which means crowds can and do arrive. If you’ve got a trip coming up within the next few weeks, one Orlando Airport shuttle service has a number of sold-out dates — here’s what you need to know.
The Sunshine Flyer is a shuttle service now operating for Disney World visitors traveling from Orlando International Airport to Disney World (and vice versa). It launched not long after Disney’s Magical Express was discontinued, and it transports travelers in buses designed to look like old-fashioned train engines and passenger cars. Of course, it’ll cost you.
If you were hoping to reserve the Sunshine Flyer for an upcoming trip, you can book with them up to four days before your trip — unless they’re sold out. They just announced that three different Saturday dates are fully sold out, including September 24th, October 1st, and October 8th.
If these sold-out dates throw a wrench in your plans, another Orlando Airport transportation option would be Mears Connect, as well as traditional methods like taxis, rideshare services, rental cars, and more. If you’re traveling during a busy time period, it’s a good idea to get your airport transportation reserved as soon as possible.
