How expensive will your flight to Disney World be in November?
Flight costs have changed a lot over the past few months, with some flight costs decreasing, while others increased, potentially signaling a change in prices. Right now we’re taking a full look at flight costs for November to see what you should expect.
Our Method
Each month we take a look at average flight costs to Disney World. Here’s what we do to reach our numbers.
We search to see what it could cost to fly from a few different airports (within the U.S.) to Orlando International Airport (MCO). We only look at a few different airlines on select dates, so note that your preferred airline or airport (or travel date) may not be included in our search.
In terms of dates, we only search for flights that leave on Thursday and arrive on Monday in a particular week. For November 2022, we looked at a trip that departed on Thursday, November 17th and returned on Monday, November 21st. November 11th is Veteran’s Day so we avoided that weekend as it could be busier and more expensive. We also avoided later days in November since Thanksgiving falls on November 24th.
To pick these dates, we looked at costs from JFK/LGA to MCO.
Note that the flight you pick could be much more expensive depending on the dates you choose for your travels, what airline you fly with, what types of tickets you end up buying etc.
Here are a few more things to keep in mind:
- We used Google Flights for our flight prices, except for Southwest Airlines flights.
- Costs can change a LOT.
- These costs only reflect base ticket prices (there may be additional taxes and fees due when you actually book the flight).
- For each “low” average, we looked for the least expensive departing and returning flights for each airline from each airport listed. For the “high” averages, we looked for the expensive departing and returning flights for each airline/airport.
- The flight departure times, layovers, and other things might not be compatible with your plans.
- We stuck to “Wanna Get Away” tickets for Southwest Airlines (when available).
- We looked for flights that arrived on the same day of their departure (i.e. no layovers that’ll get you the next calendar day).
- All prices are for 1 person.

The Average Cost
When we average the low costs and high costs, it looks like the average cost to fly to Orlando in November is around $348.44 on the low end and $1,055.48 on the high end. Averaging those together it’s around $701.96.
So, how has that changed from what we’ve seen in recent months? Well, the lower end cost is just a few dollars more expensive than what we saw for October. It marks another increase in flight costs from what we saw for September, but a slight decrease from the costs in August.
When looking at the higher end, the average cost for November is about $12 cheaper than what we saw in September but is about $100 MORE expensive than what we saw in October.
So, it looks like flight costs went UP on both the low and high end, with a more significant increase on the high end, compared to what we saw for October.
It had previously been predicted that flight costs would go down for part of the fall, but some had predicted that flight costs would increase in October in November. It looks like those predictions may be coming true. But, of course, fuel costs, plane costs, and other factors could change things in the coming weeks.
When you compare costs to November of 2021, there is a BIG difference. For that trip, we looked for a vacation departing on November 18th and returning on November 22nd, 2021 (another Thursday to Monday at that time). The cheap end had an average price of $205.19, while the more expensive side was $668.88. For 2022, the low cost is about $144 more expensive, and the high cost is about $366 more expensive. So if you’ll be heading to Disney World in November this year as part of your annual vacation tradition, be sure to expand the flight cost part of your budget.
