Counting down to a Disney World trip? There are a few important things you’ll need to do ahead of time!
You’ll want to book your dining reservations and make your Disney Park Passes. It’s a great idea to download the My Disney Experience app and familiarize yourself before you travel. But if you’re one of the people who also like to buy new MagicBands for your vacation…we’ve got great news!
Thanks to reader Joe (@schreiberjoe on Instagram), we have screenshots of NEW MagicBand and MagicBand+ designs that are available at a discount for upcoming Disney World resort guests, as well as guests renewing their annual passes. To start, we’ve got the Disney’s Hollywood Studios MagicBand+ with the Tower of Terror as the central puck icon. The pre-arrival price on this band is $34.99.
If you’re more of an Animal Kingdom fan, this Disney’s Animal Kingdom MagicBand+ has the park logo in the puck, with the Tree of Life and some of our favorite animals on the band. Order it at a discount through the Disney World website for $34.99.
As far as regular MagicBands go, we got multiple designs that feature the different lands of Magic Kingdom. There’s Tomorrowland…
…the classic Main Street, U.S.A…
…the history-filled Libery Square…
…the wild wild west represented in Frontierland…
…the ever-charming and magical Fantasyland…
…and of course, to round out the group, Adventureland. They’re all $25 each if you order them through the Disney World website before your trip.
If you’re a Disney Vacation Club member, you’ll probably be interested in the next MagicBand+ design. It has the vacation club logo and Mickey Mouse artwork in blue, white, and gray. Grab one for $34.99.
For those traveling to Disney World for a special occasion, there’s a Mickey Mouse and Friends “Celebrate” MagicBAnd+ that will be perfect! It’s available for $34.99.
Having a land and sea vacation? Check out the Disney Wish MagicBand+! It has the Disney Cruise Line logo and the Disney Wish ship on the side. It’s a bit pricier at $44.99.
If you’re a fan of the Disney World classic transportation, then you need this Monorail MagicBand+ for $39.99. It’s definitely giving us the retro vibes!
EPCOT just celebrated its 40th Anniversary, and you can commemorate the occasion with the EPCOT 40th Anniversary MagicBand+. It’s on sale for $34.99.
And finally, get the extra special Disney World First Visit MagicBand+ if you’re making a first-time trip to the parks. It has Mickey and friends, plus the four park icons. It’s online now for $34.99 if you’ve got a reservation or an annual pass renewal.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to be logged into your My Disney Experience account on the Disney World website to see these options. These are not the same prices that you’ll find on shopDisney, although you can buy some of these designs there if you don’t have a trip booked or an annual pass renewal coming soon.

FYI
The Disney Wish – cruise line band was available yesterday in the morning but by evening was no longer listed. Not sure if they sold out or if it was an error in the first place
Darn!! Was so excited to order it!

I have ordered twice now yesterday and today. Even though both show as options available they are not. Disney keeps canceling my order. They are not updating their inventory fast enough. FYI

So to get a discount, I have to pay more to stay on Disney property. Well that’s disappointing.

It’s a $10 discount on Magicbands with resort stay. They use to be free for basic ones and pretty cheap for the “fancy” ones. You have to pick and choose what is best for you when it comes to booking a Disney trip.

Update on these bands. I have called ShopDisney for resorts and told to speak with IT. The Epcot 40th band and Darth Vader are no longer available to resorts guests however they still show as an option. I was told this should update in real time but it isn’t. As of today it still shows them as an option but I don’t dare attempt to purchase again. Disney IT really needs to fix this glitch.

Of course these new designs pop up the day after I purchased some for my family’s trip.
