It’s October and you know what that means — Halloween!
Of course, October in Disney World will be full of spooky celebrations — but that’s not all! Some character dining locations are returning to normal, new offerings are hitting the parks, and another anniversary event is taking place. So, if you’re visiting the resort this month, take a look at the 5 things that will be different in Disney World in October.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Now, this offering was supposed to make its way to EPCOT on September 29th, but its arrival has been delayed. If you’re unfamiliar with Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, it’s a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt that also takes place over at Disneyland Resort.
And due to the scavenger hunt boards still being unavailable, the hunt can’t take place quite yet. We’re hoping to see them arrive soon, so we can do this hunt before Halloween is over!

EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary
EPCOT officially turned 40 years old on October 1st! And, naturally, Disney is hosting quite the celebration.
The park has welcomed anniversary-inspired merchandise, treats, and entertainment. So, if you’re visiting this month, EPCOT will look a bit different than it did last month.

EPCOT Behind-the-Scenes Tours Return
Three tours have returned to EPCOT this month — the Behind the Seeds Tour, EPCOT Seas Adventure — DiveQuest, and EPCOT Seas Adventure — Dolphins in Depth! The Behind the Seeds Tour is an hour-long walking tour that lets you see the plants, insects, and fish up close. You can take the tour for $35.
Scuba-certified guests can attend the EPCOT Seas Adventure — DiveQuest tour. Guests on the tour get to explore the 5.7 million gallon saltwater environment at The Seas. The tour is $219 per person.
And the EPCOT Seas Adventure — Dolphins in Depth tour is a 2-hour excursion where guests can meet bottlenose dolphins and talk to the experts who take care of these dolphins! The tour is $199 per person.
We’re happy to see these popular tours return to EPCOT this month!

Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast
Over at Cape May Cafe in Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast is returning!
Starting October 4th, 2022, guests can eat their breakfast while saying “hi” to Minnie and her friends. If you want to dine with Minnie, you’ll want to grab a reservation — this character dining location is popular!

Character Breakfast at The Crystal Palace
Feeling a rumbly in your tummy? If so, that’s probably because character breakfast is also returning to The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom!
Our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood are returning to this popular breakfast on October 25th. And, just like Minnie’s Beach Bash, you’ll want to grab a reservation for this character breakfast as well.
