Have you wished a happy birthday to EPCOT yet?
Along with all the new merchandise, food, and construction, EPCOT just turned 40 years old! We’re in the parks every day reporting all the news and now we’re here with what’s new from EPCOT.
EPCOT Food Updates
At Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion of EPCOT, the Mickey Mummy Popcorn Bucket was available with Caramel Popcorn! It costs $24.98 for both the bucket and the popcorn.
It’s possible that this promotion will only be around in October but we’ll keep you updated. Who knows? Maybe we’ll see a different popcorn bucket pop up here!

The popular France Pavilion ice cream shop, L’Artisan des Glaces, was closed during a recent visit. You can see the sign in the window. Be sure to check and see what the situation is like during your trip.
And at ImageWorks, we found Cruz Ramirez Kettle Corn Popcorn for $7.99.
At Sunshine Seasons, we were pleasantly surprised by the new Fish Tacos for $12.29. They’re made with tilapia fish, fire-roasted corn salsa, creamy jalapeño Piri Piri sauce, and radish. They come with a side of plantain chips and they’re available every day before 4PM.
The fish was perfectly moist and flaky and the corn sauce mixed with the Piri Piri sauce gave it a strong kick too! If you’re looking for a lighter meal in EPCOT, this might be a good option.

Connections Cafe introduced the Caramelized Apple Liege waffle for $3.99, and it’s a liege waffle with caramel drizzle, apple chunks, and a crumb topping. It wasn’t too sweet and it had a natural apple flavor, which we loved.
Yes, there are chunks of apple inside, and they’re soft so they won’t hurt your teeth. For under $5, this is a great budget-friendly treat in EPCOT!
Here’s our review of the Apple Liege Waffle!

EPCOT Construction Updates
The Remy statues from the Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt have not yet returned to their outdoor locations after Hurricane Ian (later Tropical Storm Ian) came through Orlando. We did notice, however, that some plates had been put up with Remy images on them corresponding to the scavenger hunt, essentially taking the place of those outdoor statues. We’ll be looking for more details on that and sharing all the information with you soon.
This scavenger hunt is part of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and players are tasked with finding small Remy statues placed around EPCOT, both indoors and out. For now, be sure to look for those plates throughout the booths to see what Remy statues correspond to which countries.

A tarp was placed back over the swirl structure in the future Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction.
And construction walls are up in the Italy Pavilion.

We learned that the Figment and Pua/Hei Hei 50th anniversary gold statues now have special Halloween sound effects. You can trigger this effect if you own a MagicBand+, which you wave near the statue to hear special sounds.
We heard Addams Family-esque music play when we visited, so you might want to give it a try during your next trip.
