FuelRods can be found all around the parks!

These stations are for FuelRods, a super easy way to ensure your phone stays fully charged throughout those long days in the parks! Nowadays you pretty much have to be on your phone at Disney Parks to use Genie+ and Mobile Order, or even if you’re just taking pictures and videos, which can quickly drain your battery. A portable charger is a must, and FuelRods are a convenient choice!

If FuelRods are new to you, they’re pretty easy to use. With traditional portable chargers, you have a limited amount of battery inside. Once your portable charger is fully drained you need to re-charge THAT before you can get any use out of it again. With FuelRods, when you run out of charges, just head to the nearest station to swap your empty charger with a new one. You essentially have unlimited battery while out and about!

For a while it was free to swap out your charger for a new one, but in 2019 FuelRod announced replacements would cost an additional $3. This caused a bit of an uproar, and it was decided that anyone who purchased their initial FuelRod kit prior to 2019 could continue to receive their refills for free. To track this, original FuelRod customers would sign up using their email, which they would then use to login to the refill stations to receive the free refills. However we’ve noticed that we can sometimes exchange our old chargers for a refill without having to input any information and still get ours for free, so just keep that in mind!

Swapping out your charger is easy!

We like using FuelRods because we don’t have to worry about keeping our portable charges charged (just another thing to remember!) and they are the perfect size, small enough to fit in a pocket. On Amazon you can get a kit with a single fully-charged FuelRod or pick a pack of 2 or 3. Each one comes with mini charging cords that will fit almost any smart device!
