Pizza is one of our FAVORITE things to order in Disney World, although not all slices are created equally.
Some of our favorite pizza places include Via Napoli in EPCOT, Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, and Pizza Ponte in Disney Springs, and the pizza window (known as Pizza al Taglio) in EPCOT, if you’re lucky to catch it open. And today diners got a BIG pizza surprise in Disney Springs!
We were invited by Pizza Ponte in Disney Springs to stop by today for a BIG surprise. In honor of National Pizza Month, Pizza Ponte gave away a free slice of Big Roman Pizza to everyone in the restaurant at 3:14PM!
At 3:14PM, a bell was rung, and they announced, “In celebration of National Pizza Month, we are pleased to offer you a free slice!” You can watch what happened in our video below.
Wait…FREE PIZZA?! That happened! 🍕🥁🥹 pic.twitter.com/jTpqHzDLaq

The Big Roman is the largest slice of pizza in Disney Springs, and it normally costs $6.95. It’s made with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, and we thought it was really tasty! It was a little greasy but the cheese and sauce ratio was perfect, and it overall had a great flavor.
Other pizza options at Pizza Ponte include Pepperoni, Four Cheese, Funghi, Parma Cotta, San Gennaro, and Ortolana. Slices range between $6.95 to $8.25, and there are also sandwiches, salads, and desserts available. And who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky with a free slice!

Speaking of pizza, can you find out why whole pies are no longer on the menu at the Boardwalk pizza window? The description says pizza is available by the slice or a whole pie. We used to always get a whole sausage and mushroom pizza and it was delicious. Thanks
