Disney World does not have any shortage of dining options, and with over 200 restaurants on property, you might even experience analysis-paralysis.
But there are limited options where you can find a meal and a show! We’re going to go through and provide you with the ULTIMATE guide for Disney World Dinner Shows.
Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue
Ok, strictly speaking, at the present time, there is only ONE true “dinner show,” and that’s the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. This is an extravaganza of food and entertainment that the whole family will love. Seriously, it’s hard not to have a good time here.
Located in Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, the setting is a huge barn complete with stage and musical numbers, and there are (literally!) buckets of food for the table to share, serving up an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal of fried chicken (find the recipe here!), ribs, mashed potatoes, and MUCH more. Round up the little ‘uns and get ready for a show!
There are typically three showtimes per evening for Hoop-Dee-Doo: 4PM, 6:15PM, and 8:30PM. And there are three seating categories to choose from Category 1: $74 for adults/$44 for Children ages 3 to 9, Category 2: $69 for adults/$40 for Children ages 3 to 9, Category 3: $66 for adults/$39 for Children ages 3 to 9. Pre-payment in full is required.
Fort Wilderness can take a while to get to. Take a gander at the bus and boat systems to be sure you have plenty of time to get to Fort Wilderness for your reservation. (And note that Disney recommends you arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled showtime.) If you arrive by car or Disney bus from another park to the entrance of Fort Wilderness, you will need to take an additional bus ride to Pioneer Hall, where Hoop-Dee-Doo is presented. Disney recommends allowing 30 additional minutes for this transfer.
There are three seating categories that guests may choose from. Categories 1 and 2 offer wheelchair-accessible seating. Every seat in the house offers a great view, but note that Category 3 tables have stools where you must swivel to view the show facing a different direction from your table. The show takes several intermissions, though, for food service… and more eatin’! That said, we recommend seating in Category 1 or 2 to best enjoy the show.
Hoop-Dee-Doo is a hootin’ good time! The performances are incredible and very entertaining — there is almost always something to look at or listen to. It’s truly a very special experience that you can’t find in many other places, at least not to this level and theming. The energy in here is just unmatched!

Make Your Own Dinner Show
This is where you can really let your creativity shine! You can grab some mobile orders to-go, head to your resort, or create your own picnic and have your kids act out their favorite part of their day. Snag a counter service meal or a seat by a window in a restaurant at Disney Springs and people-watch all of the shoppers and vacationers. No, it’s not creepy, it’s considered “guest appreciation”. Make a reservation at Sanaa and enjoy watching the animals on the savanna from the window while you eat. Or, just grab some Zebra Domes from Mara and head to the animal viewing area to have your dessert party!
Have dinner over at a restaurant in the Grand Floridian or Polynesian, and then wrap up your night on the Seven Seas Lagoon Beach and watch the fireworks. You can do the same over at BoardWalk Inn, or Beach and Yacht Club and watch Harmonious.

The fireworks dinner show is ok, but not really a show. Spirit of Aloha and Hop to do Review are dinner shows and WDW could use more. A themed dinner show to match the different resorts would be a start.
