Magic Kingdom in Disney World is known for some pretty spectacular Halloween celebrations, but the fun doesn’t stop there!
If you travel out to the west coast, you can visit the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure, where you’ll get to meet and greet with some of the most popular Disney villains and enjoy special entertainment. And there are even some seasonal celebrations at the international parks to check out — like the very unique drink we found at Tokyo Disney Resort!
When visiting Tokyo Disneyland, our friend Heather from Dining in Disney (@diningindisney on Instagram) spotted an adorable beverage at Refreshment Corner for the Halloween season!
The beverage is called simply Sparkling Drink and is made with tea jelly and orange. It’s served in a Disney Halloween 2022 cup and comes with a little icon of a ghost in a Mickey ear hat on top. It’ll cost you 600 Yen.
It’s served with an entire tangerine inside (our straw was poked right through the center of the tangerine), and it was very bubbly. We thought it was incredibly refreshing taste-wise, and we’d definitely order it again.
However, perhaps the most interesting thing about the drink is that the cup comes with a QR code on the side. If you scan the cup, you’re treated to a fun surprise!
What’s the surprise? Well, our QR code led us to a fun little “spooky” filter for pictures and videos! It makes Mickey ghosts pop up all over your screen. Perfect for a selfie with your drink!
Wouldn’t it be cool if Disney World did something like this? We’d love to find QR code surprises on our snacks in the parks! We’ll be on the lookout for more unique treats in Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and at the Disney parks abroad, so stay tuned to DFB.
WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them! Check out our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining + Snacks Bundle for all the details you need to plan your snackin’ and spending. You can even download them to your smartphone – it’ll be like we’re right there with you in the parks! Use code WDW2022 to get 25% off!
