We’re in that strange time of year in Disney World where it’s both Halloween and Christmas at the same time.
We’re still eating Halloween snacks, but we’re also shopping for holiday merchandise. We’re still seeing everyone’s costumes for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but holiday decorations are now arriving in the parks. Now, holiday decorations are up in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
So we saw these holiday decorations go up in mid-October last year, so it seems like Disney waited a little later this year. But let’s get ready to deck the halls because it’s getting jolly and holly up in here.
Yep, that’s right — the iconic tinsel stars are decking out the light posts down Sunset Boulevard! These are usually the first decorations we see in this park, ahead of the more obvious things like the Christmas tree at Echo Lake and the floating ornaments.
We’ll definitely start to see some more decor in the coming days as we officially roll into the Christmas/holiday season. We can’t wait to see the park in the full holiday spirit!
Who’s ready for Sunset Seasons Greetings and all the holiday snacks? We know we are!

Hollywood Studios isn’t the first park to get decorations this year — Animal Kingdom got its first decor two days ago with the festive animal lanterns that line the tops of the gift shops on Discovery Island.
So Happy Hallowmas, everyone! We’ll continue to monitor the holiday decoration situation in the parks and share all the photos and videos we can. So if you’re a holiday lover, keep checking back with us for the holiday season in Disney World. We’ll also be covering the upcoming EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, so be looking for that, too!
Will you be headed to Disney World for the holiday season? You need to make park pass reservations ASAP and understand that the park you want to visit on an actual holiday may no longer be available. You’ll also need to make those advance dining reservations quickly, too — you can make those 60 days from the first day of your trip!
