The Best Mickey Waffle You'll Ever Have in Your Life Is…NOT in Disney World

Do you consider yourself to be a Mickey waffle expert?

Perhaps you’ve tried Mickey waffles at all kinds of restaurants throughout Disney World, made Mickey waffles at home, or even grabbed a Mickey waffle sundae. But what might very well be the very BEST Mickey waffles you’ll EVER have in your ENTIRE life (yes, we needed to use caps for THAT MANY WORDS) are hiding in a spot you may have never visited.

If you’re truly on the hunt for some of the best Mickey waffles, you’ll need to make your way over to Tokyo Disneyland in Japan! Yes, Tokyo Disneyland is THE spot for Mickey waffles. Specifically, you’ll need to head to the Great American Waffle Co. inside Tokyo Disneyland.

Time to Get Some Waffles!

Before you even walk in, you’re met by an adorable sign with a very classic Main Street, U.S.A.-type feel.

So Cute

But the real key here is that Mickey waffle sign. Um, yes, we’d like to order one for our home, please?!

Wait. That’s Amazing

Once you’re done admiring the signs, you can take a look a the menu! In the past, this spot has served up a variety of different waffles — some with chocolate sauce, others with strawberry & custard cream, and even some seasonal and mini waffles.

Our lovely friend Heather Sievers from @DininginDisney on Instagram went recently, however, and noted that they were only serving the ones with the Maple Sauce at the time. If maple waffles are what they’re serving, then maple waffles it is! The waffle cost 600 yen, which is about $4.10 USD (as of October 27th, 2022).

Prepare to Get HUNGRY

Next, it was time to watch as the waffle masters did their work! There are a lot…and we mean a LOT…of waffle makers in one space here.

WOW!

Part of the fun of visiting this restaurant truly is watching these waffle masters do their stuff. There’s a giant window that lets you see into the kitchen so make sure you take the chance to peek in and see what they’re doing.

Once the waffles are done cooking, it’s time to get those toppings on there.

And then it’s time to EAT! Heather shared that there is something about these waffles that make them BETTER than any Mickey waffle in any other Disney park. You read that correctly — these could very well be some of the best Mickey waffles you’ll have in your whole life!

We’re not really sure what causes these to be so special. Is it those giant waffle makers? Is there something in the air or the water? Whatever it is — it makes these things GOOD!

They were wonderfully crispy on the outside, but also incredibly fluffy and totally delicious.
