If you’ve ever been to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you might have tried Tonga Toast for breakfast.
That delicious breakfast is usually found at Kona Cafe (although we’ve also ordered it from Capt Cook’s and made it at home), but the restaurant has been closed for a little while now while undergoing a refurbishment. Well, the cafe will reopen soon, and we have a first look at its makeover!
This is what the Kona Cafe entrance looked like before the refurbishment:
Now, it looks COMPLETELY different. The entrance has been changed, and the upgraded look is more in line with the rest of the hotel (the Polynesian received a refurbishment last year).
The fencing around the restaurant is different, too — it’s now made with a sort of mesh-like material. There are also new lighting fixtures!
Kona Cafe officially reopens on November 1st, so be sure to check out all the new details if you plan on visiting! This is a great spot to visit when you can’t nab a reservation at ‘Ohana!
Be sure to make those advance dining reservations, though, if Kona Cafe is on your must-do list!
