In case you missed it, November is Christmas — at least in Disney World it is!
We JUST celebrated Halloween, but Disney said “goodbye” to the spooks and “hello” to the holiday cheer! Decorations arrived in Magic Kingdom overnight, the shops are full of holiday merchandise (including new ears and a Starbucks tumbler), and there are new treats to try. But now we’re headed to Disney’s Beach Club Resort to check up on one of the best things to see during the holidays in Disney World — the gingerbread displays!
On Halloween, we stopped by Disney’s Beach Club Resort where the Gingerbread Carousel was being assembled!
We had to check back to see if the carousel was fully up and running — it was! The carousel was spinning around with its new Disney Princess theme this year.
As a reminder you can see a Tiana horse…
…a Belle horse…
…a Snow White horse…
…an Elsa horse…
…and a Jasmine horse sitting off to the side of the carousel!
There are also 50th anniversary touches near the top of the carousel.
Even though that was exciting, we were almost more excited to see that the gingerbread sweets shop was open! At several of the gingerbread displays, there will be a treats stand where you can buy festive treats and gingerbread cookies. A Cast Member told us that this was a soft open today and they expect to be fully open by tomorrow, November 2nd. How exciting!
You can find a variety of treats here from rice krispies treats to cookies.
There are also build-your-own gingerbread sets and themed marshmallow pops available for purchase!
They also sell gingerbread shingle cookies!
We spotted a bucket of Beach Club holiday pins as well.
So if you’re craving a festive snack, be sure to stop by the gingerbread snack stand. It will be around all holiday season long!
If you’re looking for more things to do around the holidays this year in Disney World, you can attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom! You’ll want to grab ticket soon, though — several nights of the event have already sold out.
Also, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays kicks off on November 25th and we’ll be covering EVERY booth as usual! Stay tuned to DFB to see what you should try on your visit to the festival.

Ken says
Very quiet at the Beach Club. Not a lot of Holiday theming, your time is better spent at another resort unless you want a quite retreat.
