Disney World is turning into a winter wonderland one day at a time, and we’re tracking all the progress!
We saw the first holiday decorations arrive in Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT before Halloween even happened, and then on November 1st, it was ON in Magic Kingdom. Shortly after, the Christmas tree arrived in Magic Kingdom…and now we’ve got our second big Christmas tree of the season!
Yesterday when visiting Hollywood Studios for the premiere of Fantasmic!, we noticed that the park was all decked out for the holiday season, with garland, lights, wreaths, and more. But there was one big thing missing — the Christmas tree!
Today, that tree has arrived! You’ll find it in the Echo Lake area of the park, surrounded by floating giant ornaments and near Gertie the dinosaur in her Santa hat.
The tree decor is really classic, covered in gold garland, candy canes, and multicolored baubles. It’s topped off with a silver star.
The whole display is arguably one of the prettiest in Disney World for the holidays. Especially since you’re surrounded by all the retro “old Hollywood” decorations of Echo Lake, Hollywood Boulevard, and Sunset Boulevard.
Do you see what we mean?
It’s just all so classic! We love those retro vibes.
We also spotted new decorations in Toy Story Land that weren’t there when we visited yesterday. There are Christmas ornaments hanging from the entrance sign!
And a classic homemade decoration — popcorn strands! Except, we’re the size of toys so these are GIANT popcorn strands.
You can’t go wrong with Christmas in Hollywood, really! We can’t wait to see the other parks get the full treatment.

The studios look great. I wish I was there…. Disney should sell a no-attraction ticket. Just to get in and walk around, eat, purchase items.
