DOZENS of holiday treats are about to arrive in Disney World, and we’re bouncing with excitement to try them all!
But thankfully, we don’t have to wait until Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party or the opening of the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House to try some delicious sweets — we’ve already got a few festive options in the parks. And one of them you’ll find at a popular spot in EPCOT!
We were scrolling the Mobile Order menu at Karamell Kuche in EPCOT this morning when we spotted this beauty — the Werther’s Original Caramel Hot Cocoa Square. Sounds delicious!
This sweet treat is one of Karamell Kuche’s signature caramel squares, but flavored like hot cocoa, topped with mini marshmallows, dark chocolate coating, and a sprinkling of salt. You can order it in the store or through the My Disney Experience app for $4.49. (Note: Annual Passholder discounts apply at this location, so save a few cents if you can!)
It was pretty hot outside (yes, even in November it’s in the 80s!), but the caramel held its shape and didn’t melt while we snapped some photos. We soon realized why when we went to cut it in half though — this thing is STIFF! It was one of the more challenging snacks that we’ve tried to cut.
But as far as flavors go, it reminded us a lot of a fancy Tootsie Roll. It was much better than a Tootsie Roll in terms of quality, but the flavors were similar with the caramel itself. (Chewy and cocoa-based.) The dark chocolate on the outside was perfectly smooth, creamy, and just sweet enough…honestly VERY delicious. And the salt on top added a nice switch-up with the flavors that we really appreciated.
But be warned — this thing is VERY chewy! It’s not a soft, melt-in-your-mouth caramel, it’s more like a chunky, take-small-bites-so-you-don’t-hurt-yourself caramel. But all in all, pretty delicious and definitely sharable (if you can manage to cut it! 😂).

I commented last year, and I think the year before that, on the boozy caramels at Karmel Kuche. They’re wonderful, BUT each time, three times I tried them, two or more in the quartet were rock hard and impossible to eat. How strange they never fixed that problem.
