Looking for sugar, spice, and everything nice while you’re in Disney World? Trust us, the BIG selection of holiday treats at the parks and hotels has got you covered.
We’ve already tried a lot of new holiday treats, snacks, and drinks, including a delightful ornament-shaped dessert, a festive take on one of our favorite Disney snacks, and an adventurous sugar plum-flavored shake! Now, we’re bringing things back to the basics with one of the most iconic holiday treats of all: a gingerbread cookie. Come with us to find out whether you should get this treat during your upcoming trip!
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can find all kinds of holiday decorations (including the giant ornaments floating in Echo Lake) as well as an abundance of festive treats. We’re heading to the Trolley Car Café, which is the park’s Starbucks location.
This is where you can usually find the popular Carrot Cake Cookie, which has been temporarily replaced by the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie until the cookie returns in January. But we’re not here for either of those treats — we’re going to try the Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Cookie!
This is a Mickey-shaped gingerbread cookie that’s been decorated with vanilla icing and a dark chocolate glaze. You can get one for $5.49. If we only had 2 words to describe this treat, we’d say it’s SWEET and SPICY. No, not hot-spicy, just spice-spicy. The ginger flavor is very prominent in this treat, and you can taste the spice in every bite.
However, the bite from the ginger is well balanced with the sweet icing on top, so we think it’s a great combination of flavors.

Still, if you’re not a fan of ginger (and we know many people aren’t!), you’ll want to skip this one. Although the icing balances the spice, it doesn’t cover it up at all.
If you love classic holiday treats, this might be a good option! Although it’s simple (no big surprises in this treat) and a little bit expensive for what you get, we enjoyed the flavors. It was a little bit dry as far as cookies go, which isn’t unusual for gingerbread. We recommend having a drink handy when you get this cookie.
