Dining along with the natural elements? Count us in.
This tranquil experience can be found at Takumi-Tei restaurant in EPCOT. We’ve been missing its presence in the parks, as it hasn’t made its post-pandemic return yet. But some guests just received an email from the restaurant announcing a return date for this unique dining experience!
According to the email received from Mitsukoshi Orlando by some restaurant patrons (and confirmed by Mitsukoshi directly when we contacted them by phone), Takumi-Tei will reopen on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022! When it reopens, this restaurant will offer 2 omakase multi-course meal options: an omnivorous meal for $250 per person, and a plant-based meal for $150 per person. Thanks so much to @schreiberjoe on Instagram for alerting us to this news.
The email mentions that Takumi-Tei will be open Thursday through Monday from 5PM to 7:30PM and will serve a limited number of walk-in guests. It sounds like reservations will not be available for this experience when it reopens, at least for now. The restaurant said they will provide more information about when reservations will be accepted in the future.
Inside this restaurant, each room is inspired by the natural elements. There’s a water room, a wood room…
…an earth room…
…a stone room…
…and a washi paper room.
This fine dining location is located in the Japan Pavilion at EPCOT.
