It’s finally time for the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays!
We’re looking forward to eating our way around the food booths, checking out all the entertainment, and trying our hardest not to spend all our money on festival merchandise! But, we’re not the only ones who have been waiting for this day to come — so come with us to see what the crowds look like on the opening day of the Festival of Holidays!
The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is one of our favorite events of the year, and for good reason! There are plenty of festive snacks to enjoy, but that also means there are plenty of people around to enjoy them. When we first arrived at EPCOT, it was clear there were plenty of people waiting to start their festival day!
We arrived before the park opened and lots of people were already lined up.
Once we entered the park, we noticed that many people flocked to the Joffrey’s Coffee locations. At this time the rest of the festival booths weren’t open yet — it’s good to get a morning pick-me-up!
When the booths did start to open, they quickly got long lines. Here’s a look at the Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen crowds!
There was also a very long line to get into the Mexico pavilion! It started back here past the pavilion…
…and led inside where you can find shopping, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros attraction, and La Cava del Tequila.
Frozen Ever After, one of the most popular rides in the park, had a line extending all the way through the Norway pavilion.
There is a lot of entertainment to check out at the festival and that includes the fan-favorite Voices of Liberty! Guests gathered in the American Adventure pavilion to listen to the a cappella group sing.
As we made our way over towards the France pavilion, we felt like a sardine. It was super crowded here!
The crowds continued into Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. Not only is this one of the best quick service spots in EPCOT, but the restaurant has an exclusive snack for the Festival of the Holidays.
Keep in mind that this is the first day of the festival, so the crowd levels could look different depending on when you’re planning on visiting. Weekends are usually the busiest, so if you can make a weekday trip you might have better luck.
We’re making our way around the entire festival on opening day and reviewing all the new snacks — so be sure to stay tuned to DFB and follow along at the link below for more!

This is why I won’t be going to the parks anytime soon. The crowds keep getting bigger no matter how much Disney increases the price. You spend half the day just waiting in line. I don ‘t want to spend almost a month’s income to visit Disney for a week and spent 50% of that time in line. Think how much we could lower prices if we didn’t have to pay for the two Bob’s income.
