EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays has begun and we’ve been sharing EVERYTHING you need to know.
There are LOTS of booths to check out, and we’re hitting every single one so you know what to expect. For this particular post, we’re heading over to the Holiday Sweets and Treats booth to take a look at what they’ve got to offer and whether any of the snacks there are worth your cash!
Menu
At Holiday Sweets & Treats, you’ll find a variety of returning drinks.
There are drinks with alcohol, and non-alcoholic options as well. The only real food you can get here is the completer treat for the Cookie Stroll. The Cookie Stroll is a sort of food challenge where, if you buy 5 cookies from designated food booths, you can get stamps for those purchases and then get a special treat at Holiday Sweets & Treats for FREE!
Let’s go through all of the details here!
Eats
In terms of eats, again the only food here is the Cookie Stroll completer treat.
The cookie has a Festival of the Holidays 2022 design on top of it. Plus, the completer prize as a whole comes with a special Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special pin.

Drinks
When it comes to the drinks, the Hot Cocoa is back again. You can get a non-alcoholic version for $3.75, or you can get it with assorted alcoholic cordials (Baileys Irish Cream, Frangelico Liqueur, or Fireball Cinnamon Whisky) for $11.50.
Also back this year is the Chocolate Peppermint Shake featuring Twinings Peppermint Cheer Tea. You can get the non-alcoholic version for $4.50…
…or get it with whipped cream vodka for $11.50. This shake has a great peppermint flavor and a wonderful chocolate taste too. Basically, it SCREAMS holidays!
You can also get some beers here, including the Breckenridge Brewery Christmas Ale (6 oz $5.50 / 12 oz $9.50), Playalinda Brewing Co. Coquito Beer (6 oz $5.50 / 12 oz $9.50), and Brew Hub S’mores Porter (6 oz $5.50 / 12 oz $9.50).
If you want to try a little bit of everything, you can get a beer flight for $10. That’s what we opted to do!
We really enjoyed this beer flight! First, let’s talk about the Breckenridge Brewery Christmas Ale. Despite its darker color, it was lighter in terms of taste and easy to drink. It was packed with Christmas-y flavors and gave us a bit of a molasses vibe but in a good way!
Next was the Playalinda Brewing Co. Coquito Beer. This beer was INTERESTING! It had really strong cinnamon and coconut flavors that totally outweighed the flavor of the beer. We really only got the flavor of the beer at the end of our sip. If you really love cinnamon and coconut, you might love that, but in our opinion, it felt like the drink just wasn’t balanced well. Even though it wasn’t our favorite, we still would encourage people to give it a try (through the flight) just because it is SO unique. Who knows? It could end up being your favorite!
The final drink in the flight is the Brew Hub S’mores Porter. This was our team member’s favorite of the bunch. It was heavier and delicious. In terms of capturing the flavors of s’mores, we did get the sort of warmth of graham crackers mixed with the richness of chocolate, but there, unfortunately, wasn’t a marshmallow component that we could taste. It was on the bitter side though, so don’t let that s’mores name trick you into thinking it’s sweet.
Overall, we really enjoyed this beer flight because of how unique each beer was. None of them made us want to rush to the store to grab a full pack of them, but every one was interesting. Sometimes you get beer flights where the flavors are very bland or similar, but these were really distinct!
Overall
Overall, if you’re looking to grab a drink, Holiday Sweets & Treats has a variety of options. The Chocolate Peppermint Shake is a tasty option, as is the hot cocoa. And the beer flight impressed us with the level of uniqueness of each beer.
There are lots of things you can experience at the Festival this year, so make sure you don’t miss out on any of the entertainment, or the new light display over at Spaceship Earth! As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the Festival of the Holidays news.
