Happy holidays from EPCOT where we’re celebrating the 2022 Festival of the Holidays!
We’re BUSY hopping from one food booth to the next, checking out all the NEW and returning eats and drinks, plus bringing you a look at all the entertainment and merch, too. But now it’s time to head over to Bavaria Holiday Kitchen for some German-inspired eats!
Menu
This booth is consistently one of our favorites every year, and you can see what’s on the menu at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen this time around below:
Schnitzel, cookies, and CHEESE in a bread bowl? Sign us up!
Food
Bavaria Holiday Kitchen booth is proof that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. As one of our team members put it — we don’t know why it’s so good year after year, but it just IS. This booth is a WINNER, no doubt about it.
There are a few different returning eats on the menu, like the Pork Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, Spätzle, and braised red cabbage for $6.50.

The dish continuously makes our best of the fest list, and this year won’t be any different! The schnitzel is the right amount of chewy, and the breading is a little extra salty (but we enjoyed it). If you don’t like salty things, that might be a tiny bit offputting, but we really enjoyed it.
The sides it comes with are also fantastic. When you mix the spätzle and cabbage, you get a really balanced bite. And that mushroom sauce really brings it all together.
Plus, this is a great portion size — enough to be a small meal for someone with a smaller appetizer.
Did we mention there’s also a bread bowl full of CHEESE available here?! The Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl with Steamed Baby Vegetables and Marble Potatoes is $8.25 — and it is so worth it.
There’s a lovely sharpness to the cheese, it’s warm, and somehow it’s still delicious even after sitting for a while as we grab photos. The vegetables are also cooked perfectly — they’re cooked enough to be soft but still have a good snap to them.
We even heard one individual walking past us who said they wish they’d just serve a side of the potatoes because they’re THAT good. We get it friend, we get it. 😆
The bread is also soft, but sturdy enough to hold up to the cheese. And the portion size is nice and big. It’s a best-of-the-fest item that you can count on being on our list again this year!
Another returning star at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen is the Cheese Fondue! Have you had this dish before?? ✨🧀 pic.twitter.com/FPq9H7je0F

Our team member who tried this shared that they’re not a fan of raspberry, which is why this cookie isn’t their personal favorite. BUT they said that they still think this is one of the BEST cookies out of the entire Cookie Stroll.
Why? Well, the cookie is fantastically soft and just melts in your mouth. Plus, the raspberry filling tastes very real (not artificial), and the light dusting of sugar on the top adds the perfect touch. It looks Christmas-y and is probably a top must-get from the Cookie Stroll if you’re looking to complete it.
Don’t worry — you’ll find plenty of drinks on this menu too!
Drinks
You can get a taste for the season with the Glühwein: House-made hot spiced wine for $9.50. That is an especially tasty drink to grab on those cooler December days.
The Tank Brewing Co. Prost Fest Beer was new to the festival last year, as well as the Ayinger Brewery Celebrator Doppelbock Beer! Both of these are back.
The Tank Brewing Co. Prost! Fest Bier is $5.50 for 6 oz and $9.50 for 12 oz. The Ayinger Brewery Celebrator Doppelbock is priced as follows: 6 oz. $5.50 / 12 oz. $9.50.
There’s a Hard Cider on the menu as well for $5.50 (6 oz.) or $9.50 (12 oz), or you can get a Beer Flight for $10.
Overall
This booth remains one of our favorites every year — and 2022 is no different! Sometimes things don’t need to change for them to remain delicious.
The pork schnitzel is a consistent “hit,” the cheese fondue is cheese in a bread bowl (so really, how can you go wrong?!), and the cookie is a solid pick as well. Pair that with a nice beer or cider and you’ve got one delicious meal.
