Ever wonder what it’s really like to spend Thanksgiving in Disney World? Well, we’ve got ALL the information you need to know.
We’ve already shared a look at what the Thanksgiving crowds were like in 2022, the Genie+ pricing on Thanksgiving from 2022, Thanksgiving food specials (which often pop up around this time), and a list of restaurants serving Thanksgiving menus. But now we’re sharing a FULL review of a Thanksgiving Feast we tried in 2022 at a Disney World quick service spot to give you an idea of what to expect!
On Thanksgiving Day 2022 one of our wonderful team members hopped on over to Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to try their limited-time Thanksgiving Feast! These Thanksgiving feasts are the types of things that often become available on Thanksgiving Day at a variety of Disney World quick service restaurants, generally at Disney World’s resort hotels.
These are typically available for just one day — Thanksgiving Day. In 2022, we grabbed ours at Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary, but in 2022 this meal (or one similar to it) was available at all of the following spots:
- Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Centertown Market at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Capt. Cook’s at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Riverside Mill and Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and French Quarter
- The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
A kids’ version was also available at Contempo Cafe so be on the lookout for that.
Just what does this meal include? Well, the options can vary a bit, but at Contempo Cafe in 2022, it included roasted turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables, along with cranberry relish. It was priced at $15.49.
This meal was pretty great for a quick service Thanksgiving feast! The turkey was super moist (thankfully!) and had great flavor. Our reporter fully disclosed that they are more of a ham-during-the-holidays-type of person, but they still found that this was some GOOD & flavorful turkey!
The stuffing and sweet potatoes were also amazing!
Top that off with the mashed potatoes, which were also great, and you’ve got one solid Thanksgiving meal.
For a quick-service Thanksgiving meal, our reporter shared that, in their opinion, this was “top-notch.”
Everything had great flavor and really captured that feeling (and taste) of Thanksgiving.
Is it the best Thanksgiving meal you’ll ever have in your life? No, definitely not. It’s fairly “standard” with mainly just the classic items included. But for a Thanksgiving feast at a quick service restaurant in a Disney World hotel, this was great!
Of course, we couldn’t have a Thanksgiving meal without dessert, so we picked up the Pumpkin Cheesecake from Contempo Cafe again to end our meal with something sweet. We tried this treat before but wanted to give it another try. It popped up for a limited time (through November 27th, 2022).
This Pumpkin Cheesecake is made with pumpkin-spiced caramel, maple whipped cream, and fall leaf sprinkles. It’s priced at $5.99.
The version we got on Thanksgiving seemed to have a bit less of that caramel oozing out of the top compared to the time we got it before.
The first time we had this, we felt like it had a nice, strong pumpkin spice flavor in the cheesecake that meshed really well with the caramel sauce. We found, however, that the consistency of the cheesecake wasn’t quite right, with it being a little too mushy. The portion size was also rather small for that $5.99 price tag.
So what did we think of it this time? Well, our reporter felt that the cheesecake was light and tasty. They also got a strong pumpkin flavor, which they really enjoyed. And they felt like it was the “perfect” Thanksgiving dessert.
So it just goes to show you that whether or not you’ll like a particular treat can totally depend on your specific taste buds and on how the treat was made on that particular day.
And that’s it for this Thanksgiving review! Again, remember that specialty meals like this can pop up for a limited time around the holiday season. So, if you’ll be going to Disney World during a holiday, look to see if special meals may be available at quick service (or even some sit-down restaurants) within the parks and resorts.

That turkey feast looks like a joke! I wouldn’t pay 5.95 for that little amount of food… I’ll stick to my own food.
