We’ve been taking you along with us as we eat our way through the first day of the 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, but the food isn’t the only thing to enjoy at this year’s festival!
There’s a lot to do at the festival, and whether you’re interested in meeting Santa, hearing Christmas tales, or listening to live music, there’s something for everyone! Check out all the entertainment at the Festival of the Holidays right here.
Candlelight Processional
The biggest event of the day is the Candlelight Processional, which returns again this year with a new list of celebrity narrators. The show is held at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion at 5:15PM, 7PM, and 8:30PM.
During the show, guests are treated to a narrator telling the Christmas story alongside a choir and orchestra, with the first narrator of the festival being Simi Liu of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings fame.
If waiting in a long line to get a (hopefully) good seat doesn’t sound ideal to you, you can take the option of purchasing a dining package, which typically includes a meal along with reserved seating for one of the showtimes.
But the Candlelight Processional isn’t all there is to enjoy during EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays!
Live Entertainment
Voices of Liberty: Dickens Carolers
In the American Adventure pavilion, you can see the Voices of Liberty singers perform as the Dickens Carolers.
They dress in Colonial winter attire and sing holiday songs.
Las Posadas Celebration
In the Mexico Pavilion, you can catch La Posadas Celebration, which includes the Mariachi Cobre band, dancers, piñatas, and more!
The 25-minute performances happen Sundays through Thursdays at 11:05AM, 12:05PM, 1:05PM, 2:45PM, 3:50PM, and 5:15PM.
JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season
The JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season show is held on the Showcase Plaza Stage.
It’s filled with rhythm and blues and gospel music to celebrate Kwanzaa and Christmas.
Die Couchies from Berlin
We stopped in the Germany pavilion to watch Die Couchies from Berlin perform.
True to their name, this group always has a couch on stage when they perform.
The JAMMitors
We spotted the JAMMitors out near the entrance of EPCOT. The percussionists were dressed in holiday outfits for the season!
The JAMMitors are usually part of the festivals in EPCOT, and they’re fun to watch for a while before you hit the food booths.
Storytellers
Storytellers can be found throughout the countries in the World Showcase, telling holiday stories that come from each country. First, we came across the storytellers Sigrid and Barn Santa in the Norway Pavilion.
In the Italy Pavilion, you can meet La Befana, who is a kind witch who visits children on the Eve of Epiphany, an Italian holiday that takes place on January 5th. You’ll also learn about Daruma from the storyteller in the Japan Pavilion. Daruma is the story of the Japanese totem.
In between the Morocco and France Pavilions, the Hanukkah storyteller talks about music and traditions.
Père Noël can be found in the France Pavilion. We discovered him reading the letter of a child and their holiday wishes.
And over in the UK Pavilion, Father Christmas visits with guests.
Characters
We spotted Pluto had on some earmuffs on looking ready for the holidays!
Keep an eye out for characters in the parks — they might just have their special holiday attire on!
Rides
Living With The Land — At Night!
You can also see a special holiday version of Living With The Land!
We strongly recommend seeing it at night, so you can take in the lights fully.
The lights are gorgeous and you’ll see some fun touches like these snowmen!
There’s plenty you can see during the day too, so don’t miss this holiday version.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — Holiday Remix
One of the newest EPCOT rides has a holiday overlay for the Festival of the Holidays!
Instead of the six songs that usually play on the ride, you’ll hear a medley of holiday tunes including “Run Rudolph Run,” “Deck the Halls,” and “Jingle Bells.” But, you’ll notice that the lyrics have been changed to instead be about the Guardians!

This is only around for a limited-time, so be sure to hop on the ride for this fun experience.
Santa Claus
It’s SANTA! Santa Claus greets guests in the Odyssey Pavilion. You even get to sit in his sleigh!
As you’re snacking your way around EPCOT, keep an eye out for these entertainment options! And keep following DFB for more Festival of the Holidays news and tips.
