The holidays have exploded in Disney World — the decorations up in the parks, at the hotels, and in Disney Springs!
But the most important part of the holiday season (if you ask us) is the FOOD and we’ve been eating our share of it, from everything at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays to all the other festive snacks we’re finding around the resort. Now, we’re headed over to the Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for two NEW snacks.
First, meet the CUTEST snack we’ve seen yet. It’s the Snowman Chocolate Marshmallow Pie (AKA Moon Pie) for $6.99. For those not familiar with Moon Pies (because it IS a Southern thang), it’s basically two chocolate-covered graham crackers with marshmallow. THIS Moon Pie, though, is also a Snowman, and he is ADORABLE.
If you love chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker flavor combos, you will LOVE this snack. If s’mores and moon pies are your jam, you’ll want to get this. The flavors are really nice and light. However, the graham crackers are THICK, so it gets a little messy when you bite into it. But some of our favorite snacks are messy, so we won’t complain. It’s also big enough to share — but only if you want to.
We also tried the Peppermint Cheesecake with Chocolate Cookie Crumb Crust and Red Velvet Whipped Cream for $6.49, which is a nice minty cheesecake that’s perfect for the holidays. It’s light and creamy, although it isn’t very firm. We also found the crust on the bottom to be crumbly, but that didn’t bother us one bit.
If you love peppermint, this is a solid choice for a snack, especially for one at a quick-service dining spot. It also just SCREAMS holidays, so you should give it a try if you find yourself at the Grand Floridian.
Pro tip — if you’re looking for something savory from Gasparilla Island Grill, get the macaroni and cheese — it’s some of the best in ALL of Disney World!
While you’re at the Grand Floridian, don’t miss the Gingerbread House display there! You can also pick up a lot of fun holiday snacks INSIDE the gingerbread house! The Grand Floridian usually has some of our favorite holiday decorations, too, so be sure to take a moment to walk around — it’s sure to put you in the holiday spirit!

Disney desserts used to be so beautiful… and now they look like a small child decorated them. Messy and not visually appealing whatsoever! Boo to Disney for putting those out.. they should know people eat with their eyes first then their mouth. Messy is NOT acceptable!!!
