Coming to Disney World is a NEW restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be the newest addition to Toy Story Land, featuring a “barbecue-forward” concept, where guests will be surrounded by Andy’s play sets. We don’t know a whole lot about this new restaurant yet but Disney recently gave us a bit of a sneak preview and here’s what we noticed!
During a recent interview with Disney’s Flavor Lab, we got a sneak peek at some of the concepts coming to Roundup Rodeo BBQ! So far, we know that this table-service restaurant will be located near the entrance to Toy Story Land, and it will be designed to look like a rodeo-themed play area created by Andy, complete with western toys, play sets, and more.
During the video interview, Disney snuck in some quick looks at what may be coming to Roundup Rodeo BBQ, and if you look closely, you may catch a glimpse of barrels of monkeys and a container of toy soldiers, which may or may not be included at tables. If you look in the bottom right corner, you can see table settings including cow print and gingham napkins.
We also noticed glasses that resemble Mason jars, and if you look toward the bottom right corner we spy a photo of some kind of meat dish.
In the bottom left corner here, we see condiment bottles with fun Toy Story-themed labels, including Jessie! We also see a photo of what might be bread service hidden between the two blue barrels.
And this plate looks like a paper plate except it’s not! It’s actually a bone China plate designed to resemble a disposable plate, much like you’d see at any backyard barbecue event.
You can watch the full interview with Disney’s Flavor Lab below.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction progress of the restaurant, which is still mostly hidden behind a wall in Toy Story Land. Disney has not yet announced an official opening date, although presumably, the restaurant will open as planned in 2022.
We’ll be watching closely for any updates from Disney World regarding Roundup Rodeo BBQ, so make sure you keep checking back for all the latest from DFB!

Ken says
Why does it take Disney so long to assemble a new concept, land or food entity. They are the absolute slowest when most of it can be completed behind the scenes during pre-planning and staging. Disney tens to take all of the excitement out of anything announced by taking years to execute one announced. Michael Eisner and his team were much better at bringing the excitement to reality in a timely manner.
