Okay, so we’ve had a LOT of BIG Disney World food news recently.
We got a full list of food booths coming to the 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, as well as confirmed food items. We also got an opening timeline AND first look at Roundup Rodeo BBQ, which is coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Speaking of which, we’re going to break down EVERYTHING we know about the menu at Roundup Rodeo BBQ!
So here’s the thing — Disney has not yet released a full menu for the restaurant, but they’ve announced some details that tell us about what the dining experience might be like. The concept of the restaurant is that this is a play arena that Andy has built in his backyard where Woody and his pals can enjoy some delicious eats! Andy has even drawn audience members on the sides of the “cardboard box” that houses the arena.
According to Disney, “Andy had creating a rollicking place for honorary toys to enjoy barbecue-inspired comfort foods served family-style, with platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides, and some miniature sweet surprises along the way.”
So we know the restaurant will serve BBQ-inspired foods, along with what will probably be traditional BBQ sides. We are intrigued though about those miniature sweet treats! Maybe we can expect something like S’mores-inspired desserts and more?
One thing we also know is that the service will be family-style, so plates of food will be brought to the tables, similar to what we see at places like Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Tree Tavern. This means that we can expect the menu to have a set price for adults, as well as a set price for children.
We’ve also seen what the place settings at the restaurant might look like. In a video about how Disney themed these things, we caught a glimpse of a place setting that featured barrels of monkeys and a container of toy soldiers — we’re not sure if this will be on the actual tables or not. We also saw cow print and gingham napkins.
The glasses look like Mason jars, and there’s a photo on the table that looks like some kind of meat dish.
The plates are really unique, too — they’re designed to look like paper plates!
Of course, we’re keeping an eye out for the full menu, and we’ll let you know all about it — as well as what the prices for the restaurant will be — as soon as we have it.
So stay tuned to DFB for more!
