For those who have followed the World Cup, how are you feeling today?
We’d been walking around EPCOT today, reporting as usual, when the news broke that Argentina had won the 2022 World Cup. Since the park is home to World Showcase with cultural representatives from all the countries, we figured we’d see how the pavilions were reacting to the news!
Inside the Norway Pavilion, we heard cheers and an explosion of chants for Messi, one of the Argentinian players. It was easy to assume that they were thrilled about the outcome of the game! One of the Norwegian cast members even said that it would likely be “best to avoid the France Pavilion today.”
Over in the Germany Pavilion, none of the Cast Members we spoke to knew much about the World Cup, even though their country competed earlier in the games. One of the Cast Members did share with our reporter that at their housing, the only fellow Cast Members that really seemed interested in the game were from Brazil and France.
The lovely cast members in Japan didn’t have much to say either, but one of them did corroborate that the Brazilian Cast Members were most enthusiastic about the game.
Over in the Italy Pavilion, we got to speak to a Cast Member who shared his thoughts with us!
The World Cup has concluded and we wanted to see what cast members in EPCOT had to say about soccer’s world stage! First up, the Italy Pavilion! pic.twitter.com/3kBNs8FCPK

And now it’s time to head over to the France Pavilion. The first thing we noticed was that it certainly felt somber all around. Tristan, a Cast Member from France, was willing to share his thoughts with us.

Other than being happy that France lost, the UK pavilion Cast Members didn’t seemed to be too opinionated. We later spoke to James, who is from Canada, about his thoughts.
As for the World Showcase World Cup, this cast member told us the cast members of the U.K., France, and Germany are the most into it! pic.twitter.com/wGIBedBA38
