Genie+ Prices Soar for Holiday Weekend in Disney World

We’ve been taking in all the sights and sounds from the parks this week so you can be prepared for your next trip. From crowds to wait times to Genie+, we’re keeping track of it all. And today, Genie+ has reached its highest price yet again.

It’s no secret that the holiday season is one of the busiest times in Disney World, and if you’ve been paying attention you know that this week has been no different. Crowds are out in full force, and wait times have been increasing as we get closer to Christmas Day. Not only that, but Genie+ has reached its highest price of $29 per ticket again today!

We also checked to see how much each Individual Lightning Lane was priced at for today, and saw that Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom was $16 to ride today.

Over in EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was $17 per ticket.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom costs $12 per person to ride today.

And the most expensive of them all — if you planned on getting an Individual Lightning Lane for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance today, it cost a whopping $25 per ticket, per ride. That cost only increases if you have more people in your party. For a family of four, it would cost an extra $100 to skip the standby line and get on Rise of the Resistance. There is a standby line at Rise, but it often sees the highest wait times of any other ride in Disney World!

The $29 standard Genie+ price today is the most the service has cost all week — we had seen it consistently priced at $25 up until now. As we get closer to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the New Year’s holidays, chances are we could see Genie+ remain at this high price. We’ll be continuing to keep an eye on crowds, wait times, and Genie+ prices throughout the holidays, so keep checking back for more.
