Merry Christmas Eve to those of you who celebrate! If you don’t — Happy Saturday!
If you’re in the parks, you can watch some special holiday entertainment over the next few days, and there are tons of holiday snacks to grab around the resort. While all of that is wonderful, there can be some downsides to visiting during the most magical time of the year — primarily crowds. And with big crowds and high levels of demand for the parks can come some BIG increases on Genie+ prices. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing…
We’ve seen the Disney Genie+ price get pretty high in the past. Though the price for the standard Genie+ service was initially set at $15 per person per date, Disney later changed that so now the price varies depending on the date on which you go. The highest price we’ve seen for the standard Genie+ service was $29 back around Thanksgiving, and reached that price yesterday, December 23rd as well. So we were interested to see how it would be today since we knew the parks would be in high demand.
Today’s Disney Genie+ price is…are you ready…$29 per guest!
And here’s the pricing for each Individual Lightning Lane, starting with Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios, which is $25 today — that’s $100 extra for a family of four to skip the line.
Over in Animal Kingdom, you can purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for Avatar Flight of Passage for $16.
In Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is available for $12 per guest.
And, the newest Individual Lightning Lane — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — is available for $17 per ticket.
It’s important to note that these are the same prices we saw for Genie+ yesterday, so it could be the same on Christmas Day. But, keep in mind that this price is per person, per day, AND Genie+ pricing is subject to surge pricing so those prices could change again in the coming days or upcoming holidays.
However, there is a way to avoid paying the highest prices for Genie+ if you plan your trip carefully — click here to learn more. We’ll be watching for the Disney Genie+ prices in the upcoming days, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Genie+ news.

So – and please correct me if my math is wrong – right off of the bat a family of four would pay $116 just to get Genie + and then another $100 for Rise for a grand total of $216 ?!?!
That is not including tickets or food.
Ummmmmmmm – no one people are complaining about being priced out of Disney.
