If you’re heading to Disney World soon and haven’t been in a while, you might be surprised to see some of the CHANGES taking place in the parks.
The TRON coaster is nearing completion in Magic Kingdom, there’s new audio on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, and construction on the Moana attraction in EPCOT is moving along. Recently, another Disney show saw some changes and we’re going to explore it now.
The American Adventure show had been closed for refurbishment in EPCOT for a while, but now it’s back up and available for guests to see!

In terms of the show itself, things are generally the same, but the animatronics did seem to be working really well.
A Cast Member we spoke with indicated that some behind-the-scenes things and wiring had been updated for the show in general.
During our time at the show, we also noticed that the audio of one portion had been adjusted — specifically, it had been made softer. So that’s a look at the changes at this show! Overall, the changes were minor — mostly just updated carpeting and behind-the-scenes refurbishments — but it does make the whole space feel a bit refreshed.
We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any other news from the parks and let you know what we see.

So it was closed this long to accomplish basically nothing? Install new carpeting, and “fix” the animatronics?
When the parks have more money than God and they could have built NEW animatronics, kept it open, and closed it for a few days to swap the robots out? Pretty ridiculous, because you have to keep in mind while closures like this don’t affect frequent visitors like me (I’ve seen it a hundred times), it’s a very big deal for those once-in-a-lifetime visitors…especially those coming from outside our borders.
These guys just don’t have their act together. Same thing with Norway, where they hardly did ANYTHING technically different to change it to Frozen.
