Update: Park Pass availability continues to change. We’ve placed some updates in this post but continue to check for updates on Disney World’s Park Pass availability calendars.
If you’re hoping to go to Disney World in January of 2023, there’s one date that you’ll have to cross off from your plans.
All Disney World guests are still required to obtain a valid Park ticket and Park Pass for the park they wish to visit in order to enter. When all Park Passes for a particular day sell out, that’s IT — no more visiting Disney World on that day (unless availability changes). Well, if you’re heading to Disney World right now or really soon and you haven’t bought those tickets yet (or forgot to grab your Park Pass), there’s a big update you need to know about.
2022
Park Passes for the rest of 2022 are quickly selling out at Disney World for those with regular theme park tickets and Disney World Resort Hotel guests!
As of the last time we checked, the 28th and 29th had sold out, but there is limited availability on the other days. Note that this availability was changing rapidly as we refreshed the page.
The picture is a little different for Annual Passholders, who have some limited availability during these last few days.
If you haven’t bought your tickets yet or hadn’t made your Park Pass for the remaining days in 2022, your time may be running out.
BUT keep in mind that Park Pass available can and does change. As we were working on this very post we were refreshing the Park Pass availability calendar and availability kept changing. So it’s possible that the calendar will look very different in a few hours or days. Keep checking the calendar for any last-minute openings!
2023
What about 2023? Well, things were starting to fill up there too! When this post was initially written and posted, Park Passes (and Park tickets) for January 2nd had FULLY SOLD OUT for those with theme park tickets, those staying at Disney World resort hotels…
…and even Disney World Annual Passholders! But things have since changed — see the update below.
UPDATE: Later in the afternoon on December 27th, we saw some availability open up for January 2nd for those with theme park tickets and those staying at Disney World resort hotels…
…as well as Annual Passholders.
What should you take away from all of this? First, always remember to book those Park Pass reservations as SOON as you can. It’s better to have some in place and modify them later than take the risk that they’ll all sell out before you have the chance to select any. Remember that a park ticket alone does NOT guarantee your entry. You MUST get a Park Pass too.
Second, Park Pass availability can and does change. Continue to check for updates as your trip gets closer!

Tom Gromling says
Monday, January 2 really isn’t that “random”. Most schools are still off that day and many businesses and governments are shut down with Monday being the observed day off for New Years Day
Robert says
As of December 31st at 11:17am EST no more availability for anyone on Monday and also Tuesday only Epcot is available for Theme Park Ticket and Select Resort Hotel and not for Annual Pass. Hollywood Studios is sold out from Monday to Friday for Annual Pass but Thursday is available for Theme Park Ticket and Select Resort Hotel. Magic Kingdom is only available on Friday for Annual Pass. Last but not least, Animal Kingdom is available Wednesday to Friday for all reservation types.
Robert says
As of 5 minutes after writing my last message Hollywood Studios is completely sold out from Monday to Friday for all Reservation types
Robert says
As of 5 minutes later from last comment it looks like Thursday for Hollywood Studios for Theme Park Ticket and Select Resort Hotel can make them again but it keeps changing too fast to keep up so YMMV (Your Mileage May Very)
Steve says
The reservation system is not magical.
There’s nothing magical about the day chosen weeks in advance being a really rainy day or that same day better spent at the pool because it’s really hot.
It’s magical to leave the guests to decide when they want to use their ticket s.
