Disney World is unfortunately no stranger to high ride wait times.
The parks have been incredibly busy lately, even though the holiday season is wrapping up. In fact, it feels like the parks are busier now than they were over the holiday break! Today Disney has been extra busy in the crowd department, and these wait times are the proof.
Today while we were scrolling through the My Disney Experience app, we couldn’t help but notice how high some of these ride wait times were. We checked the app around 12:30PM, which is usually a peak time of day for high wait times, but the number of rides with waits over 100 minutes was still shocking!
In EPCOT, we noticed four rides had wait times well over 100 minutes posted and one ride had exactly 100 minutes.
Soarin’ Around The World had a wait time of 100 minutes while Frozen Ever After, Mission: SPACE, Test Track, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure all showed waits of 120 minutes or more. Remy’s had the longest posted wait at 160 minutes — that’s over 2.5 hours!
Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we saw five attractions with a wait time of 100 minutes or more.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run both had a wait time of roughly 100 minutes. Tower of Terror, Rise of the Resistance, and Slinky Dog Dash all had wait times of over 2 hours a piece with Slinky Dog Dash topping the list with 150 minutes.
Magic Kingdom was no exception with Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train also showing over 100-minute wait times.

Finally, Animal Kingdom had Avatar: Flight of Passage with a whopping 175-minute wait, and Na’vi River Journey had a posted 110-minute wait.
As you can see, Disney World has been pretty busy today and it’s a little surprising to us after we had such interesting holiday crowds just last week.
If you’re visiting Disney World soon, you can still find ways to avoid the crowds! Make sure to get to the parks early for rope drop so that you can get on those popular rides before the wait gets too long. You can also stay later in the parks, because ride wait times tend to drop right before the parks close. Cast Members will usually let you hop in line for a ride any time before park closure, so even if it’s right before the end of the day, you can still get in line.
And you can consider purchasing Genie+, which allows guests to make Lightning Lane reservations to skip the standby line and get on the rides faster. Genie+ costs between $15 and $29 per person, per day, depending on the time of year. Lately it’s been on the higher end of that price range since the parks are busy right now.
