With the return of the “Magic Happens” Parade at Disneyland, guests planning to visit the park now have the chance to book dining packages as well.
Dining packages are a great way to enjoy a meal before heading off to a reserved viewing area to watch a parade, show, or other performance. It kind of makes you feel like a VIP!
The dining package that will be available for the “Magic Happens” Parade is for none other than the Plaza Inn!
This Main Street spot has been serving guests since opening day in 1955, making it a fitting spot to grab a bite before watching a parade that celebrates the magical moments in Disney film history. It’s also home to one of our Disneyland must-eats: the Plaza Inn Fried Chicken!
Each dining package will include an adult or child meal plus a voucher for reserved viewing access to the second “Magic Happens” Parade performance of the day. You can get a dining package for any day except during Disney After Dark Events as well as the blackout dates of April 9, May 13, May 14, May 29, June 18, July 4 and July 8, 2023.
You can select from a few meal options. Adults will receive Short Rib and Fried Chicken with Pesto Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables as well as a dessert. You can then pick from either a fountain beverage or Dasani Water (alcoholic beverages are not included). For kids, their meal consists of Chicken Tenders, Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables and a dessert. For their beverage they can choose either a Dasani Water or low-fat milk.
Packages are $45 per adult and $25 per child (ages 3 to 9). This price does not include tax or gratuity. To utilize your dining package you will also need a valid theme park reservation and admission for each person. Your dining reservation will need to be made between 1PM and 3:30PM to take advantage of the package.
When it’s time to head to your viewing area, bring your voucher to your designated meeting area. Each person in your party will need their own voucher and kids under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Keep in mind that the viewing area will be mainly standing room or ground seating! Advance reservations are highly recommended because this is a great way to get a good view of the parade. You can make your reservations up to 60 days before your visit. Just reserve your arrival time between 1PM and 3:30PM for the “Magic Happens” Parade Dining Package at Plaza Inn.
If you need to cancel, you will need to do so at least 2 hours ahead of your reservation or else a $10 per person cancellation fee will be taken from the credit card on your reservation.

Uhhh tgats a big fat NO from me! I mean they want you to pay $45 plus tip and they can’t even get you a place to sit? I mean I’ve seen chairs roped off in that middle section over there in front of the castle so why the heck would they just not even give you a place to sit after paying for a dining package and you don’t even get to choose more than just from two choices? I mean I’m vegan and neither of those choices are gonna work for me so is it just like too bad so sad you got to eat what they gave you ? I don’t think so! I’m gonna pay that much I’m gonna need a chair or at least a bench to watch the parade!
