Have you ever dreamed of having Disney World all to yourself? No lines for rides and room to roam around without bumping into a bunch of strangers?
Well, that can be a reality — Disney World After Hours events are back! We recently attended the After Hours event in Disney’s Hollywood Studios where we ate iconic snacks and walked on several rides. But just how empty is Magic Kingdom? We’re at the event to find out!
If you want to attend an After Hours event, they are separately ticketed parties where you can explore the Disney theme parks for 3 hours after the park closes. There are treats and drinks included in your ticket and you can usually find lower wait times than usual since Disney only sells a limited number of tickets.
Before the Event Kicks Off
With an After Hours ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom before the event starts at 7PM. That gives you a chance to get a head start on the rides or a chance to watch Disney Enchantment fireworks! Regular park guests are allowed in the park until 10PM, so let’s just say, Magic Kingdom is CROWDED!
It is CROWDED in Magic Kingdom right now. After Hours guests have officially been let into the park and regular park guests are still allowed in until 10pm 😅 pic.twitter.com/WlXKIdJ5In

During After Hours
Once the regular park guests started clearing out, it was clear why the After Hours events are worth it. Even though the event is sold out on the night we visited, the crowds are non-existent! Around 10:50PM, there was a 5-minute wait for Space Mountain!

Just look at this lack of crowds — this is why after-hours events are really worth the cost for many people!
Look at those low waits!
Haunted Mansion at a 13-minute wait? Unheard of! Fun fact: when Haunted Mansion has a posted 13-minute wait time, that means it’s actually a walk-on!
This is the perfect time to ride EVERYTHING!
Two of the most popular rides in the park were at only 25-minute waits!
Overall, if you’re a fan of rides, these are some of the best events to attend to cross everything off your list!

There are also tons of free snacks you can grab during the event!

To really convince you and drive the point home, just look at how empty Fantasyland was!
It's very quiet and peaceful in Fantasyland right now. After Hours might be worth it just for this serene moment 🤣 pic.twitter.com/4zcLLS7TrN

So if you’re heading to an After Hours event or you’re considering buying tickets, this is a look at what you can expect! These parties can be a great way to take in everything the parks have to offer without the crowds that collect during the day. After Hours events are running on select dates through March — here’s a list of the current sold out dates.
