IMPORTANT UPDATES: TRON Lightcycle Run will open in Magic Kingdom on April 4, 2023.
Before its opening, Disney is holding Cast Member, DVC, and Passholder previews, and a ticketed event for D23 Gold Members. However, Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club member previews, AND the D23 TRON events have all REACHED CAPACITY/SOLD OUT.
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the progress over at TRON Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom.
From construction changes and opening timelines to details from Disney and more — we’re always looking for the latest updates. Disney had previously shared that TRON would be opening sometime in spring 2023, but hadn’t shared an official opening date yet. Well, it looks like we may have just gotten a clue!
We are SO excited for TRON to officially open in Magic Kingdom — and up until now, we didn’t know much about when the ride would officially open. Disney shared that the ride would be opening in spring 2023, but no concrete date was mentioned.
It looks like Disney Parks has given us a clue, though — they shared a somewhat cryptic video on their Twitter page teasing an official opening date! Check it out below:

What could it mean??? Well, we have a few ideas. We think line 3 corresponds to the TRON: Legacy release date, while line 4 is TRON actor Jeff Bridges’ birthday. The opening dates for Magic Kingdom and Disneyland are lines 5 and 6, respectively. We also think line 10 could refer to potential Cast Member preview dates (April 4th to April 8th, 2023) which would make one of our theories below a bit more likely.
Okay, so what does that have to do with an opening date?! We think that’s what line 2 is all about — it reads, “13,212,023.” It could mean one of four (or a zillion) things: 1) TRON Lightcycle Run is opening on March 21st, 2023 and Disney just added a “1” to the beginning; 2) TRON is opening on April 21st, 2023 and Disney wants us to add the first two numbers, “1” and “3”, together; 3) None of this is correct and Disney is playing a joke on us (though we think this is less likely); or 4) There’s more to this than meets the eye! Can YOU crack the code?? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
Once again, we want to be clear that these are pretty wild guesses and we don’t know anything for certain. As far as anything being confirmed, we might just have to wait on that — keep in mind that this is all pure speculation for now. Other than this video, Disney hasn’t shared a peep and the Internet rumors are swirling about what it all means.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for any more news from Disney — so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest!

Hey Guys, my theory is that in the 13,212,023 code is that if you add the first 2 codes (13) and (212) together that gives 14 and 5. Potentially hinting towards a May 14th release date? I know that in the US you guys put the month first but hey, we are all just speculating

I can confirm, from a CM directly, that one of the theories about line 2 is correct. Not saying which one, but your sleuthing skills are on point!
