In fact, it’s our JOB to pay attention, and even we couldn’t keep up!
We’re rounding up EVERY news bomb Disney dropped on us yesterday, and … Disney World and Disneyland fans, have we got NEWS for you!
End Date for Harmonious in EPCOT
EPCOT’s current nighttime spectacular — Harmonious — is going away. Disney has announced that the LAST performance of Harmonious will be April 2nd, 2023!
An all-new nighttime spectacular will be debuting at EPCOT later this year, but Disney has been keeping the details and timing of the new show pretty under wraps.
Get more details on the end of Harmonious here.
Goodbye, Barges!
That’s right! The closing of Harmonious means those view-blocking barges and platforms in World Showcase Lagoon will be leaving in “a phased removal,” according to Disney.
Even most folks who loved Harmonious didn’t enjoy the site of these barges, which housed custom-built LED panels, moving fountains, lights and lasers, and some pyrotechnics for the show.
Grab more details on the removal of the Harmonious barges here.
EPCOT Forever is Returning
So what’s going to go on at night in EPCOT without Harmonious? Disney has shared that a former nighttime spectacular — EPCOT Forever — will be returning for a limited run starting April 3rd!
During the D23 Expo in 2022, Disney announced that EPCOT would be getting a NEW nighttime spectacular in 2023. EPCOT Forever is returning until Disney is ready to introduce the new show.
Here’s more information on the return of EPCOT Forever.

Opening Date Announced for Happily Ever After
But don’t worry — you will still be seeing fireworks in Magic Kingdom after Disney Enchantment closes. Happily Ever After — a fan favorite nighttime spectacular — is returning!

Changes to Park Pass Reservations for Annual Passholders
Disney World is making some changes to its Park Pass Reservations sytem that will result in less work — and less planning — for annual passholders!
On weekdays, passholders will be able to enter the parks without a Park Pass Reservation — after 2PM. Disney has not said WHEN this change will go into effect, and we’re sure there will be some exceptions, but it is a rollback that many passholders have been asking for.
Click here for what we know about the Park Pass Reservation System Change.
FREE Overnight Hotel Parking
We have not seen Disney World LOWER very many prices, but Tuesday, they did just that. Overnight self-parking is now FREE again for Disney World hotel guests.
That’s right — this change took effect immediately after it was announced, so the parking is already free again!

FREE PhotoPass Downloads with Genie+
More free stuff? Yep! Disney announced that in the coming months, it will become free for guests who purchase Disney Genie+ to download attraction photos taken that day.
That means you can download photos from Space Mountain, Slinky Dog Dash, Test Track, Expedition Everest and more for FREE if you have Disney Genie+ that day! We don’t have a start date for this new perk yet.
Click here for more information on the FREE Disney Genie+ PhotoPass Downloads.
Florida Resident Room Discounts
Disney World also dropped a new discount for Florida residents on Tuesday!
The deal is valid for up to 30% off of your hotel stay at a Disney World resort, available most nights from May 1st-July 10th, 2023.
Click here for what we know about the new Florida Resident Room Discount.
Free PhotoPass Downloads at Disneyland
Disneyland lovers, we have news for you, too! ALL guests at Disneyland will be able to download attraction photos for free!
This perk will be included with your park ticket beginning February 4th, 2023. Disney says this deal is part of the Disney100 celebration — so it looks like it will only be around for a limited time.

More $104 Ticket Offers at Disneyland
Disney has announced that throughout 2023, there will be nearly two months’ worth of dates where a one-day, one-park ticket is just $104 at Disneyland Resort. That’s the lowest ticket price currently offered.
Keep in mind that the ticket price will increase on days that are projected to be busier and you’ll have to pay more if you want to get a Park Hopper ticket.

Amazing!! Disney is hearing, caring and doing. Brining the Magic Back!!

for us living in Canada, it is so stressful to try to plan a trip, including the travel and all the money involved, and within all those rules at Disney, it is very nice to see that it is a bit better and hoping it will get better, my dad brought me a few times and now i want to bring my son!
Anyway, Merci Madame AJ!!!!

I appreciate the minor changes that Disney is making. The moves that Disney has made over the last two years has raised the cost of a vacation ENORMOUSLY. The changes that we need Disney to make would be
1. Reduce the price to enter the park .
2. Eliminate The Genie Plus
3. Eliminate the INDIVIDUAL ATTRACTION
4. Return the Free Fast Pass (three rides)
5.Reduce the constant Food price increases
The only reason why Disney is throwing a bone to the little guy is because
1. HOTEL RESERVATIONS FOR 2023 HAVE DROPPED LIKE A ROCK
2.The Vacation Club Members have used their points in 2022 or lose them.
3. Revenge Vacationers spent all their money at Disney in 2022.
DISNEY PLEASE MAKE THE CHANGES TAT MATTER TO US.
David Dominie says
No big deal. Not a Florida resident, not a passholder, fly to Disney so don’t need free parking, can’t afford to go to Disney World so definitely Disneyland is out of the question. We buy Memory Maker, so we get the pictures anyway. Ginie+ is expensive where Fast Pass was free and more user friendly (not on phone all day). None of these are news bombs as everyone has been talking about these for a while. Stop goading everyone with your headlines and have them state facts and not misleading words or phrases.

@David Dominie Wow, this was far from being spam.
