There’s a NEW restaurant coming to Disneyland, and it’ll be themed to Disney’s Princess and the Frog!

Disney is re-theming the Splash Mountain attraction at both Disneyland and Disney World to give it a Princess and the Frog theme, and Disneyland is also getting a new restaurant to match the updated ride. Tiana’s Palace will be taking the place of the French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square in Disneyland. We first learned about Tiana’s Palace restaurant last September, and now we have an opening TIMELINE for this spot!

Disney announced that Tiana’s Palace will open sometime later this year. Before 2023 is over, we’ll be able to dine at the newly themed restaurant. Disney said that the menu will “expand on many of the current favorites served in the location, explore seasonal flavors, and, of course, offer some New Orleans classics.”

French Market Restaurant and the attached Mint Julep Bar will be closed for the refurbishment starting on February 17th, 2023. Tiana’s Palace will open later this year, and the Mint Julep Bar will reopen along with it, bringing back the famous Mickey beignets.

In the announcement, Disney said, “Just as Tiana transformed an old sugar mill into her dream restaurant in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, The Princess and the Frog, soon the French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square at Disneyland park will be reimagined into Tiana’s Palace!”

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (the re-themed Splash Mountain ride) will open sometime in 2024 in both Disneyland and Disney World. Eudora’s Chic Boutique (a Princess and the Frog gift shop) is already open in Disneyland.
