You can eat and drink some seriously WILD things in Disney World, but one EPCOT spot might take the cake.
The 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Arts will be available in the park from now through February 20th, 2023, and it has LOTS of new things for you to enjoy. There are several new eats available this year, and even 2 brand new booths. Today, we’re heading to one of those NEW food spots — and (bonus!) it’s themed to FIGMENT!
Menu
One of the newest food stations to hit the EPCOT Festival of the Arts is Figment’s Inspiration Station at The Odyssey. You’ll find it (as the name suggests) in the Odyssey building near Test Track.
We expect this booth could be particularly popular for a few reasons. First, some of the menu items are wild — like a cake with freeze-dried skittles?! Plus, it’s home to several NEW ciders and beers.
Take a moment as you’re walking around/to the Odyssey to really take in all of the special decor that has been added here — it’s a Figment fan’s dream come true!
Now that we’ve taken an overview of the booth, let’s dive into our full review!
Eats
We’ll start with one of the NEW items here — the Fruit Pizza! That’s right, you were familiar with the Frushi from the Flower and Garden Festival, but now things are turning from sushi to pizza! This dish is made with Watermelon, compressed cantaloupe, berries, and berry balsamic. It’s plant-based, gluten/wheat friendly, and priced at $3.75.
What you see is what you get with this dish — it’s essentially a slice of watermelon with some other things slapped on top. We were really hoping to taste more of that balsamic flavor to offset the sweetness of the fruit, but it didn’t really come through. It’s also worth noting that this thing is SMALL — which ended up being alright since we weren’t wowed by it.
The other new menu item here sounds truly wild — it’s a Rainbow Cake with freeze-dried SKITTLES bite-sized candies! The dish is priced at $4.75. Ummm yeah, freeze-fried candy with a rainbow cake? We HAD to try this one. And truthfully we were hoping for a good result because it sounds like a colorful and potentially tasty combination.
This was like a Zebra Cake — but better. It might even be a contender for the Best of the Fest! The cake was deliciously moist thanks to the layers of icing, but it wasn’t too sweet like we often find with Disney desserts. The freeze-dried Skittles were an… interesting consistency, but when combined with the cake they were a really nice touch.
At this booth, you’ll also find the returning Pop’t Art, which is a Sugar Cookie with blueberry filling for $4.50. This has typically been over at the Pop Eats booth, but shifted to Figment’s Inspiration Station this year. In 2022, the cookie had a chocolate hazelnut filling and we’ve seen strawberry fillings before that, but this year it’s a blueberry filling!
This had a great flavor! We enjoyed it more than the Lunch Box Tarts over at Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios. There was a good filling-to-shell ratio and the shell itself was cakier than shortbread like. Pro tip! This item is part of the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine — which is a food challenge where, if you get 5 of the 7 qualifying items, you can get a free prize!
Think of this essentially as a fancy Pop Tart. In the past, it has been a bit denser than a normal Pop Tart though, both in terms of its filling and crust. Overall, the Lunch Box Tarts at Woody’s Lunch Box in Disney’s Hollywood Studios might be the better pick here, but we think this is a fun snack that could be a great pick for a kiddo or other picky eater!
Drinks
In terms of the drinks, essentially everything is new at this booth! We start off with 3 new ciders. You can get these individually, or opt to get them as a Rainbow Cider Flight for $10.
We opted for the flight so we could try them all! The flight includes the 3 Daughters Brewing Black Cherry Hard Cider, the 3 Daughters Brewing Blood Orange Hard Cider, and the 3 Daughters Brewing Passion Fruit Hard Cider. You can get these all individually as well — it’s $5.50 for 6oz or $9.50 for 12oz.
In terms of flavors, the Black Cherry Hard Cider was an explosion of cherry. We weren’t expecting it to have such a prominent flavor, but if you’re a fan of cherry this one might be for you. It’s on the sweeter side since it’s a cider, so keep that in mind!
The Blood Orange Hard Cider reminded us of a Blue Moon Lager only much, much lighter. There were hints of orange and vanilla. Overall, this was a pretty standard cider that wasn’t too fruity.
And finally, the Passion Fruit Hard Cider was light and refreshing. It wasn’t too sweet and almost a little tart — if you’ve ever had the grapefruit wheat beer from the Germany Pavilion, this reminded us of that!
Prefer to try new beers? They’ve got that too! Again, you can get these individually or opt for the Rainbow Beer Flight for $10 and try them all. We (of course!) opted for the flight.
The flight features the 81Bay Brewing Co. Green with Envy Blonde Ale, the 81Bay Brewing Co. Blue Butterfly Lager, and the Urban Artifact The Gadget Raspberry & Blackberry Midwest Fruit Tart. You can get these all individually as well — it’s $5.50 for 6oz or $9.50 for 12oz.
In terms of flavors, the Envy Blonde Ale tastes like a classic blonde ale — don’t let the color fool you. It was a pretty standard light beer, but nothing that wowed us or made us want to order a larger size.
The Blue Butterfly Lager was waaaaaay hoppier than we were anticipating, almost shockingly so for a lager. Be warned if you’re looking for something more traditional — we’d argue this one tastes more like an IPA!
And finally, the Raspberry & Blackberry Midwest Fruit Tart was actually our favorite of the three. It’s certainly a tart beer, so if you’re not a fan of sours this probably won’t be for you. We did find the flavors to be unique and refreshing — this would probably make a great beer for walking around in the Florida sun!
The final drink item is a brand NEW Grape Smoothie with freeze-dried SKITTLES bite-sized candies! This is a non-alcoholic drink that sounds like some concoction 5-year-old-us created from snacks around the house on a Friday after school, but not necessarily in a bad way! 😂 You definitely need to be a fan of artificial grape flavors to like this smoothie — but we LOVED it.
The flavor reminded us of childhood, and there were more of those freeze-dried Skittles mixed in throughout. But, the BEST part is that you get to keep this adorable little Figgy cup when you order this item! This is definitely a Best of the Fest contender for kiddos!
And that’s a complete look at this brand NEW booth!

The rainbow cake was great. Is it sold at any of the Disney restaurants?
