A LOT has happened in Disney World since Bob Iger returned to his role as CEO of the Walt Disney Company.
The park pass reservation system changed for Annual Passholders, overnight parking is free again at Disney World hotels, and Genie+ users will soon get free PhotoPass downloads of attraction photos. The CEO also recently visited Disney World and met with Cast Members.
In a tweet, Iger spoke about visiting Disney World and posted a photo with Cast Members, praising them for bringing “such talent and dedication to everything they do.”
Had a great visit to @WaltDisneyWorld this week and I'm always so inspired by our spectacular cast members, who bring such talent and dedication to everything they do. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/9T1CeUMtgs

This comes ahead of some BIG things happening in Disney World, including more potential changes to the park pass reservation system, the opening of TRON / Lightcycle Run, and the Walt Disney Company’s big 100th anniversary celebration. We’ll also soon see the permanent closure of Splash Mountain to be revamped as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Although the Disney World dining plan hasn’t made a comeback, Disney did release a Dining Card Promo, which is the closest thing we’ve seen to the dining plan since the parks closed way back in 2020. We’ve also recently seen the return of more characters in the parks.
It looks like 2023 might be a year of big change for the company under the new (old) CEO, so we’ll be on the lookout for more announcements and news. Stay tuned to DFB for more!
